oh got some other cool news. my seachem test kit when i first got it was broken. one of the glass containers broke and got everyting wet..
so i talked to the place i got it from.. they said very strang i was the first on ever to had that happen to them.. only thing was 3 weeks till they get more in.. i'm like ok just ship me what broke and the testing color strips..
so today go the package and they sent me another TEst kit COMPLET.. so now i have a brand new one..

So here is an update..
All of our crabs have changed homes..
1 of them beat up another one for his house.. then the other one took his house, then the one that got beat up found a house too big for him then we found a smaller house and took that one.. and after 2 days in hiding he finally came out..
Oh and we got a peppermint shrimp.. he is finally moving around after about 4 hours of hiding in a little cave.... (pics will come when i can get a pic of him..)
Oh and we are getting some new lighting getting Gagen Glo t5's high output.. with a lifeglow and actinic bulb...
Can't wait. to get them...

Yahh!! our peppermint shrimp we think took care of some of our pests last night..
YAHHHHH...
now he is sitting in a little cave...

Damm our Little peppermint shrimp took care of all our glass anemones last night.. we even had one on our glass, small one.. and its GONE..

Has he given you a manicure yet? Some day I'm going to breed a bunch and get women to pay big bucks for a "natural" manicure. They do a nice job!

Peppermint shrimp do too, that's actually how you can tell if they're good ones - you're supposed to tell the pet store clerk to stick his hand in the tank and give you the ones that pick at his cuticles. Whenever I am siphoning flatworms, they get a snack :)

Quick question about the seachem ammonia test. My yellow wafer thing is not completely changing color. It looks kind of spotty. Is this what you witnessed also?
Tank is coming along nicely good job.

if you are talking about the yellow ammonia test.. like the yellow hole punched things..
If so.. when i was doing it from the start.. you will really see if the ammonia is present. the hole thing will change color... then when the ammonia was getting lower yes it was spotty.. so i took it as not really much ammonia in the tank.. (but for on the safe side check it at 15 min then at 30 min to get a reall good test.. then i just run 2 of them at a time in there own little cup...)
As i thought mine was broken also.. but they are really acurate... if you need help you know where to find me...
