Someone selling you something told you to buy something?

Actually DT's Phyto is a good food for clams if you get it fresh and live.

You don't have to worry about clogging the gills of your maxima if you are feeding between 2-80 micron. It's the crocea that has the fine gills and are susceptible to clogging.

Okay, I represent a product that is in the same market as DTs. Does that make my opinion too biased to be of value?

No, but you shouldn't be the only source of info as you would be more biased towards your product vs. DT's product.
If you were selling you're product and DT's was better.. would you honestly go hungry and admit someone should buy DT's instead? Not if you were a salesman.

Okay, I don't sell anything... I represent something. That means I go to the stores, do the trade shows, do the grand openings, answer product questions, teach the employees yadda yadda.
Open your DT bottle, does it smell good? It indeed uses a freshwater species of phyto called chlorella that has a more pungent smell than the others.... but it shouldn't smell like death. Only death smells like death.
I don't represent Reef Nutrition either, but I'll tell you to use their phyto over DTs, even though it has a lot of dead cells, it has a preservative that will prevent rot. You want a preservative over rot.
Pick a single species bottled product. Your product will be alive when you use it. It will smell nice and fresh. You mix too many species in a small bottle and they would attempt to kill competition to ensure their own survival. It's called allelopathy.

WELL...I am sad to say the Maxima didn't make it. I had a feeling the last 2 days cause the mantle wasn't coming out as much as in the beginning....and even in the beginning, it never really came out like some of the pics I was shown..
My squamosa should be here today.....Let's hope I have better luck with this one...

So sorry, I know how excited you were...don't kick yourself..Every book I read says a clam under 2 inces is really to small, they shouldn't sell them under that.
