Just set it up there and keep an eye on it to make sure the power head flow won't knock it off...you cold divert the power head until it attaches. I don't think you can glue it...it has a foot.

Sorry the PH was what got my clam at first...I thought rays stayed at the bottom???? can you set your clam in an area were the ray doesn't hang out?
OR
put it in another tank on the rock you want it to sit on...when attached transfer it to the tank you want it in
