OT: Latest crop circle. Does this means something out there.

i think if outer aliens were intelligent enough to travel light years, visit us without us seeing them and study us, i think they would be pretty capable of covering up a few markings from 'landing craft'!
just my 0.02

I've been saying for years that I am going to go out into the middle of NC with a few friends, make a crop circle, and see what people think. :D
I think it's a bunch of bull**** that gullible people are too fast to believe. IMHO.
You want to believe in something out there that is real? Read the Bible. IMHO.

it is possible to make circle like that, but it is too hard to do it. it takes time to do it. So most of ppl won't have enough time to do it.
the unkonwn force is gravity and if it is a UFO that landed then it has to apply to the physics laws and leave marks until atleast someone find out other way to levitate.
Bible does say there are other worlds out there. so i assume since there are other worlds out there , there must be other lifeform out there too IMO.

IMHO, those other lifeforms are God, Satan, demons, and angels. But I'm not going to explain more here because I know how touchy religious debates can get. ;) Just dropping my beliefs.

no need for relegion debate here. I put this one since it is big news around here, and it was over 200 feet.
It would take more than a night to do a perfect mark like that, since it seems like made out of atleast 12 circles maybe more. Here is a pic I tried to mark a few.

Yeah, i watched a special on this on some channel or other. I don't know what to make of them BUT the geometric perfectness and sheer size of these things can not be done very easily, let alone by a group of coordinated people in a night.... There are to many perfectly symetric lines for it to be a group of pranksters AND for this to be done in the pitch of night with no light.

I watched a special about crop circles. It had the 2 guys that started the craze over in England. It also showed them as they made crop circles. They drew out the plans and the geometry was simple. They used string to control the person smashing down the crops by stepping on a piece of wood.
How can anyone say that this cannot be made in one night? Need more time, get more people.
The sad part is the economic loss to the farmer.

bdhough atleast you knew what I ment.
Scotts the one you are talking about is the only one proven to be hoax, and yes those two made it came out on their own after years and it was not geometrically perfect one either. Why should they hide that long and came out. Too many unanswerd questions there to show that they really did it.
Have you ever thought government might have paid those two to come forward with lies until they find out how it really happend.
How about the rest of findings in the world. Especially now these days who has enough time to waste on a stupid hoax like this and waste there enegry, time and ofcourse getting shot at by someone for trespassing.

I've seen probally the same news story on those 2 guys in england. Actually quite a few on them. The guys demonstrated how they did all of it with the boards, strings, etc... and it's easy to find out how they did them so perfectly now online.
They showed how quick it was, how perfect the circles in stuff were-useing the strings, and how people still insisted that it wasn't possible for it to be done.

If this was made by a space craft then how do your explain that the crops are not squashed flat, straight down. But are bent in a cirular pattern. I am not talking about the whole cirle itself, but rather the crops inside the circle. You can see in the picture that they are bent in a circular pattern. Almost as if someone holding a piece of wood walked around in a circle and bent the crops over.

ok, I didn't say it was made by spacecraft or UFO. I have no idea what it was mady by either. just from looking at picture like you, it seems to me it was not made by human. You could see the markings are too perfect and to do this in 200ft area is hard work. Making a flat circle is too easy since you can just take a stick and bent everything in the path.
But making circle inside circle, arch and triangle inside circle need more patient and time, especially with everything kind of falls into a pattern of circle.
That's why I put those circles around. So you decide if it is too perfect to be made by someone in one night.
I am telling this because it is only 32F around here at night lately and high was only on mid 50s. I do not think there are many who would take chance of going out in the dark in cold and do some thing like this. but then i might be wrong. We have to wait on experts who are researching this i guess.

OMG! The same phenomenon appeared in my DSB overnite!
I woke up this morning to this! Should I call someone? NASA? The Enquirer? HELP!

OT: Latest crop circle. Does this means something out there.
Yes - it means something was out there.
I would guess it was a group of talented young people with long lengths of string and poles, some wooden sheets of wood, several walkie-talkies and a few handheld global positioning satellite units. Very talented for sure, must have paid attention in geometry class and are most creative folks !
Or ....... it was a UFO space ship of aliens with nothing better to do that mess with our heads.
I'm so torn between believing these two possibilities - not :)

I personally think that these "aliens" we see or hear about is really the human race in the future. Meaning that we one day invent a time machine and go back through time to visit in the past. It makes sense to me, for the fact that if they really did want to visit us and come in contact with us, they would have done so already (unless the Government is keeping something from us). If this was really a form of time travel, it makes sense that they wouldn't want to make any changes in the past, which would then result in change in the future...
...or maybe I'm just crazy ;)

It's just a matter of time before one of these "aliens" is found in the local hospital with a buckshot in his butt from a local farmer :p.

I assume you knew there were no GPS, walkie-talkies and other gadgets 200 years ago to do this job. Since this is known phenomenon for over 200 years. ;)
I guess i have to agree with spsfreak about government might keep it away from peeople so they don't panic.
Here is
details ;)

If man can build the pyramids, which we still can't completely figure out, then I'm sure man can figure out how to bend over some crops into interesting configurations.
I, for one, don't believe that the pyramids, or crop circles for that matter ,were inspired or made by "ancient astronauts". Interesting theory, but exactly would be the point of aliens making circles in corn fields?
