thanks all! I'll try to get some more pics today too
bigtyguyy--Im not sure how long it'll take some dont take long, others do...i've had a small colongy that stayed closed for a couple weeks....dont really know what happened to em either now that i think of it.... :notsure: my camera is the Kodak Dx 7590...love the thing, had to pay for it though

Evan--haha, I wish i had other reef tanks, unfortunately a 75gallon freshwater and a 20 gallon long saltwater are about all i can afford to have right now...I'm hope in oct/nov to start up a 29+gallon seahorse tank with zoos to no end. ***)
what do you mean "pop"? I dont do a single thing except take the pics, they do all the work showing off. :joy:
and yes fish, i bought some more earlier this week, they came in on wednesday.

Yesterday I took in some of my xenia that i had on seperate rocks and got some store credit, so that was pretty good, cant complain when you dont have to pay for something because you have credits fromthe stuff you sell them

I mean, when I take pics of mine under actinics they don't come close to looking like they do to my eyes. Mine all scream with color under the actinics, but come out blah in pictures.

ahhhh, i dont know...i just snap the shots....maybe its harder for the camera to pick up all the colors with how the actinics are and what? and some colors invert..i guess maybeyou could call it, under actinics better than others...like the darker ones wont do as nice sometimes...but they may have speckles on the skirt or whatever...and makes it look spotty, i dont really know...my zoos are pretty close to the glass, maybe just a couple inches away..so i dont have to zoom most of the time, which makes usually for better pics the closer it can be....who knows

Mine are all up against the glass for the most part. I never zoom, my camera is such high resolution I can always just crop the part I want.

You have got quite a few varieties on those rocks, should look SWEET when they all start to color up.

i assume youre talkin to me....my bulbs arent over 2-2.5 months old....the whole lighting system is the same in age
and yea, i cant wait till these things just go all out and start spreading they little bodies all over

most of the rocks are open now...except one is being stubborn for some reason, some are open, but most are not...theyll get used to my home whether they like it or not! :joy:

in your opinion how hard do you think xenias are to keep? i wanna put some in my tank, but some other people i know havent had much luck with them.

xenia are prolly the easiest coral i have had so far....they just seem to be weird for unknown reasons, some people cant keep em for anything, other can...no harm in trying, they spread pretty fast to, and are amazing to watch

here are some more pictures...they are a lot more open today...
in the first pic that big guy finally opened up, not to pretty, but he's still a giant, haha. there are also pink and red with the little spot int he middle...and then the blue of course.
in the third picture the reds one are just about all open now, they're lookin great, cant get too good of a picture because of how its sitting in the tank.
4th picture-the top zoos are the same, but some new ones look to be opening below, not sure what theyll look like yet
