They did have like a 10 year war in the 80's didn't they?
And?
Think about it harder. Iraq's military since the end of that war has been bigger and better equiped (even without WMDs) than Iran.
Which is a better option?
Pretend to have WMDs and not fight Iran but have to fight the U.S. and misc. count6ries.
Or show you don't have them and POSSIBLY fight Iran in the future.
Think about it.

Name a single bill
Obama has sponsored and worked with the Republicans on to get passed.
I believe there were talks not sure how far they have gotten, but Obama and McCain have a Ethics Bill and Emissions bill they worked/are working on.

I thought it was climate change? I keep getting lost....The problem is solved and we didn't do anything major like what people have been calling for. The global index for the past year is DOWN one degree. so the average temperature is going back down...stop freaking out.

a lot!... At least it would give victims of 911 more closure, and would symbolize some symbolence of victory.

Iraq didn't have WMD's.
Maybe we should ask the citizens of Halabja why Saddam faked having WMD's... oh wait!

I disagree, I think the world would be more cooperative with these 2, particulary Obama. I'd be interested to know who foreign leaders endorse for presidency.
Please
, Rylan... tell me you're joking!!! And, BTW, we military types have a term for things like Clinton's "peaceful" time in office: Delaying Action.

WASHINGTON - Potential presidential rivals John McCain and Barack Obama are joining with newly independent Sen. Joe Lieberman on a plan they say would reduce annual global-warming gases by two-thirds by mid-century.
Their bill, announced Friday, is intended to cut the heat-trapping emissions by 2 percent a year. It is sure to produce a contentious debate on climate control in the new Democratic-run Congress and draw strong opposition from the White House and industry.
Sens. McCain, R-Ariz., Obama, D-Ill., and Lieberman, the Connecticut independent, are calling for mandatory caps on greenhouse emissions for power plants, industry and oil refineries. Their plan would require releases of heat-trapping gases to return to 2004 levels by 2012 and to 1990 levels by 2020.

WMD's is not mustard gas... Did he have nukes? There is a major difference in terms of what he does to a few hundred people locally and the capablity of launching a nuke that would affect more people than those in the immediate area. Mustard gas has nothing to do with our national security.

Rylan, are you saying a chemical attack which kills over 5000 people is not WMD??? WMD use does not require you to knock down every building within a 1/2 mile radius! Mustard gas is a WMD, just like Anthrax, Chlorine gas, Annhydrous Ammonia, VX, or any other chemical, biological, or radiological device.
And I'll tell you, chem/bio attacks are MUCH more of a threat to us than nukes due to their tech-level, and overall scale.

No I'm not ok with what Saddam did, however; I think it allowed him to keep the country stable. The problem w/ Iraq is that there needs to be an equal share of power with all partys represented. Iraq needs to become more self reliant. They need to be able to protect themselves and improve their security forces... I think we need to withdrawal, but do it in an orderly fashion. I also think we should keep forces in the region, but end the occupation.
I actually agree with part of this; Iraq does need to become self-reliant. I believe they are. I've posted repeatedly links to success stories in Iraq.
That said; Occupation
? Do you understand what that word means in a military context? And, if so, do you believe that's what our military is doing?

Nah, that's for a different thread.
Right now I'm just challenging his position that Obama has worked on bipartisan bills...
