Keep the questions comming nathan, you didn't do anything wrong. I was just saying that people have short patients here because of what they deal with at times - you are doing the right thing by asking and slowing down.
Thats freekin awesome you were starting the aquarium for your daughter

Don't do any water changes for right now, just let everything cycle - heck don't pay attention to it for the next few weeks other than checking your ammonia, nitrite, and nitrates.
Honestly though, I have to give it to you, you've kept your cool. There have been a lot of people complaining and you've kept a positive attitude the whole time - something I envy

Take care, post more questions and i'll check back tomorrow.

I have a couple of personal favorite books that's worth reading without trying to figure alot of the technical stuff starting a SW tank. The New Marine Aquarium by Mike Palletta and Saltwater Aquarium Models by John Tullock. Both are very easy to read and understand. The first book I mentioned even includes a checklist you can use/make copies of. The second book mentioned is very recent (2006) and worth the money. I hope this helps get you a fresh start to try again without rushing into this.

This thread has become to much.
I am going to say this if you have nothing nice to say PLEASE move on this is not the place for it!!!!!
derekc your posts like the ones above are not welcome here and wont be tolerated. if you have a problem with a thread report dont chime in we do what we do and look at the thread plain and simple.
nathanrudy9This thread has strayed to far from actually helping and its going to be locked. Please stick to one thread for each question or set of questions that have and put it in one forum. I suggest staying in the new hobbiest section for a while and let us help you get the basics down and help you with your tank. Feel free to start another thread for any unanswered questions,
Mike
