Yep.

This is my biggest concern even with an achilles tang. They have a reputation of becoming aggressive when they get comfortable in a tank. I may take the risk with an achilles but I wouldn't with an angel.

As an update, it looks like I have a line on a Duss.
If it is legitimate, I'm definitely getting this guy as this is my first choice. I tried to order one before but the fish died at the store before they could ship it to me.

As an update, I just ordered the Duss tang. I didn't get it from Rob, found it larger and cheaper from another source. Hopefully all goes well. I should get it on Tuesday.

OK I'm freaking jinxed.
Now, for the 2nd time in 2 months, I have ordered the Duss and the day before delivery was scheduled, I get a call from the retailer indicating that the fish died in his place. This guy said his pump crapped out during the night last night and he lost a few fish, including my Duss.

And I could have gotten this fish from someone else but passed on that to get this one.
He now says that he'll have more next week but I don't like the idea of the fish being shipped to him and then him immediately having to ship the fish to me. That's a lot of time in transit.

Crimzy's getting pissed!!

Get your fish yet? If you didn't, I think that it is a sing that you need to get the snapper. haha
Nope... the Duss should be at the retailer on Monday and will be sent to me next Friday or Saturday. If there are any more problems then I'm going to cancel.
Funny you mention this because I was at the LFS looking at the snapper just yesterday.

Well, just to finish the chapter on this thread, the Duss didn't work out. So I went back to the LFS and bought the snapper today. Everything's going well so far... it ate tonight and there appears to be almost no compatibility issues at all.
I just had to go with the snapper after everything that's happened. Achilles can be very aggressive when they are healthy. I couldn't get a healthy Duss for a decent price. I decided against the pinnatus bat and the vlamingi for aesthetic reasons. And the snapper was local... I've been looking at this fish for a couple of months now. The fish is very healthy and the price was right so I pulled the trigger. I'll post pics tomorrow.

Angels can be pretty aggressive and have a nasty reputation of picking at vulnerable species like rays and benthic sharks. Some may work but it's a gamble that I'm not willing to take. If you gamble on an angel, puffer or wrasse with a ray, it may work out well... or you may wake up one morning and find your ray missing an eye. I try to play it safe with mine.
