I win, (well you do), but still. I voted for the snapper.
Yeah, I like this guy. It was an easy buy... very smooth transition into my tank. But the wife isn't crazy about the snapper... oh well.

why is she not happy? an i think for our final fish on our stocklist, jess has decided on a pacific pygmy angel lol
I don't know... I think that my wife was expecting something very large and striking. This snapper is a complimentary piece to the tank but is not a focal point.
BTW, I LOVE the pygmy angel. Among the most striking fish in this hobby, IMO. Good luck with that guy.

BTW, got water yet?

Your wife seems very wise to me
Jusk kidding, enjoy your new fish with the grumpy look on his face.
You excited about your new QB, I think Sanchez will be a good fit in Detroit.

Don't even get me started, (I guess you just did
). If the lions take a QB on the first day of the draft then I will not watch a minute of any game next year. What wins in football? Defense and running game. We have no defense, no O-line and a decent RB. If they don't spend the early picks on defense and O-line then I'll be really pissed.
QB is the most overrated position in sports. A couple years ago you could have traded for Kurt Warner or Drew Brees for a bag of donuts. There are always QB's available who can win if the rest of the team is good. In fact, I'd bet that more than 50% of QB's in the NFL could take a team to the Superbowl if the defense and running game are good.
Besides, 1st round QB's are REALLY risky and there are no guarantees. At one point, Akili Smith and Andre Ware were projected to revolutionize the QB position.
Why did you get me going?

I knew I could get you fired up....

I think the only reason they may look at Sanchez is nobody wants to miss on the next "Peyton Manning", least of all Detroit. I'm not saying Sanchez is the next Manning, I have no idea, but when you need a QB and there is a potential talent like that available you don't want to look foolish by passing on him. The guy has some excellent NFL "tools".
I personally thought Sanchez would have been well off to stay and get another year starting, but I think Sarkisian going to my Huskies was key.
You're right, Detroit needs O line and D line badly, it will be interesting to see what they do.
Sorry, was this a fish thread?

Fish thread??? Now you got me going!!!
What would make anyone think that this is the year to take a 1st round QB anyway? Stafford and Sanchez are the only QB's likely to go in the first. If you shore up some other spots and go after a top-flight QB next year, you have the pick of Bradford, Colt McCoy, Tebow and a few others. If you take an O-lineman, a D-lineman and a linebacker with your first 3 pics (#1, 20 and 31) then you should get 3 good players. I say fill in the non-glorious positions and if you want to swing for the fences next year then at least you have more and potentially better options.

I have to disagree there, I think Sanchez has better "upside" (the trendy word) than anyone you mentioned at the QB position....It will be interesting to see what the draft "experts" McShay and Kiper say as the draft gets closer.
How's the fish?......just trying to keep on topic

Are you trying to make my head EXPLODE??? Never listen to the "experts" about QB prospects. They are the ones who loved Alex Smith, Matt Leinart, Vince Young, David Carr, Ryan Leaf, Joey Harrington and so many others. These are the same experts who disregarded Tom Brady, Joe Montana and more than a few others.
BTW, the fish is doing well I guess (I'm at work). It was alive when I left this morning.

On another note, want to split a 12" Australian Duss with me for $500.00. We could share custody...

12 inch or not, I don't think my Sohal would approve of this idea, I'm afraid my half of custody may end up with "Fish Social Services" knocking on my door.....
There have been a few good #1's too....The Mannings, John Elway, um, that's all I got, oh wait, I forgot Jamarcus Russel, he's awesome.....Matt Millen may have taken a punter.

OK, here are the pics... some of the snapper and an extra or two... The fish actually has better colors than show up in the pics.

I REALLY like those snappers, and that is a just beautiful specimen!! Besides, it is a great conversation pieces for distraction coloration with the tail eyespot and the disruptive bands across the eyes.
Oh wait, that's some sort of thing I would bore the guests with. Never mind...

That's funny... I'd probably be completely engaged in that conversation to the point that my wife would get annoyed that I spend the whole night talking about fish...
