Post a pic of your nano

New addition! I can not believe it, but my new yellow watchman made a home out of elly, and now I really have to keep her! I had to get rid of the purple pseudo because he started attacking EVERYTHING over the last 72 hours!! I will miss him.
So now it's the watchman/engineer goby and the little clown. But with both the watchman and engineer gobies hosting the elegance, I never see them.
So, I fed the tank a mix of formula and bloodworms that I made, and after taking a couple bites, the new watchman laid in his new bed and has been there for the last 6 hours. Im trying to get a pic of him and the engineer goby hosting at the same time. Will keep ya's posted.

Yes it is. I had him for 6 months now... I moved it from my 90g, few days ago, because he was mostly hiding there. He was afraid of my larger fish... So I decided to put him in my 24g nano since he wasn't swimming much anyway. Now he is almost always out(at least some part of him). The only problem with him is that I can't have any goby/blenny kind of fish in there. I learned it the "bad" way as he ate my yellow watchman for breakfast yesterday.

Mine never bothered any kind of shrimp. My Coral banded shrimp comes up to him, and cleans it :). Like I mentioned before this eel is really afraid of a lot of thigs. This is why I think he will only eat "not moving" fish such as gobbies.
As far as eating, it took me about a week or so, few hours a day to get him to eat. I started guppies, and goldfish. He never ate a guppy, but he loved goldfish, especially the very red color. When I finally got him to eat I switched to frozen Silversides. The only time he eats is when he is in a pvc pipe. He was never intrested in food when out of pvc.

Yeah that eel is awesome. What kind is it ? And i doubt it would coexist with my twin spot goby huh ? Crazy looking though. Nice looking tanks everyone. I hope to have mine as nice looking one day. How do you all get everything to stay onto the rocks ? I tried superglue gel and about all i get glued together are my fingers. Will the corals just eventually grow onto the rocks or what ? Thanks .

Thanks. The rock was from a 29g that I broke down almost 2 years ago. So 2 years of storage turned my really nice live rock into base rock - The peice in the middle is new, hopefully will jumpstart the rest of it. The live sand is from the lfs. I'm just waiting around for everything to spike and then stabilize.

I have a Green bubble tip anemone in mine. It is great in mine as far as size and everything. You do need to have the proper lighting. The standard PC lighting that comes with all the nanos is not sufficient for long term survival of the anemone. If you want to get one I would recommend that you wait until 6th month or so of your tank being started as they need perfect water conditions and a well established tank. Also you would need to have only a few corals IMO when you add the anemone because they will roam your tank for awhile looking for their favorite spot and can sting and kill other corals along the way. My BTA just split in two if you are interested we can work something out! Let me know.

All anemones will out grow a 24 gal tank eventually. And none should be considered "reef safe" by any means.
Some species of glass anemones can be housed in a nano and do so without too many issues.
