my unnaturally colored yellow leather that got very unhealthy

turned from that into this

then it started to look even worse, so i cut him in half. not looking good AT ALL.

and this werid very huge brown mushroom

I too almost bought a yellow leather until I read the unnatural coloring label. They wanted more for it than the reg. ones that were going to stay healthy
your second picture may not be as bright but it looks okay.
I bought a yellow Tonga...it is not as pretty a yellow but at least it is not going to die from whatever was used to make yours so bright for a short time.
There is so much blue in the tank I wanted some bright yellow.
That is a cool big brown "mushroom"???

. I have a tie for my favorite, the long tentacle plate or the Aussie favia. The Aussie Trachyphyllia is close too...

Yea, unfortunately they did, choose it over the BTA in the tank. They were a bit too rough for it (LTP's are extremely fragile) but as luck would have it, a large turbo snail fell off the glass into it, which spelled the end
