Post Your 55-75 Gallons Here!!!

hi guys,
i was wondering if u people out there that have 55-75 gallon tanks could post some of your pictures of them because i am considering one. i would like to see some full tank shots jus to get a feel of how big the entire tank will be. and wen u post tell me the size of ur tanks. thanks!

i just bought a 55 used for my mantis. and it will be fine for him. but i don't like how thin it is, or how tall it is for a reef or fish. just my 2 cents

thats the reason I wouldnt buy a 55..its 4feet long but its skinny..looks kinda silly. I think my 75 being 18" wide makes it look alot more proportioned.

ya thats wut i was thinkin of gettin a 55 thats four feet long so i can fit a tang in ther cus they like swimming long distances. but then i cant really have a reef unless i lean everything against the back glass and idn if that good for it. anyways wouldnt a 75 cost way more money than the 55 though. idn mean the tank alone, cus i can get a 55 gallon for 55 and a 75 for 75. but i means like u need more lr, more ls, more corals, different filters, bigger lights, etc.

dont buy new.
I got my 75, wood stand, glass top and emperor 400 all in perfect shape from the paper for $75

05xrunner what kind of flow do you get with that emperor 400? i was thinking of doing 2 in my 55 mantis tank. yep the only reason i bought the 55 and stand was because it was only $50.00

I have an emperor 400 on my 55 J.O.B and it does pretty good flow but I am buying another one soon so it will have even more. I dont have any pics of my 55 yet but I will in a little bit.

u can def fit a yellow tang, a kole tang, or a baby blue hippo (the ones that are about an inch long) in a 75. runner do u have a hang on the back filter or a sump. if sump tell me wut a sump is cus i have no idea wut it is.

its ok I guess.
I am getting rid of it soon..it came with the tank thats why i am using it now...I am going to add a large canister thats rated in the 350gph range to replace it.
The emperor has a ledge at the bottom of the waterfalls that kinda diffuses the flow in the tank..so its more of a up top flow..doesnt flow down into the tank much.
I have the aquaclear 50 and 30 powerheads in the tank as well and they give me a good bit of flow

here is my 75 . i got 260 watt pc's on it right now but i got 500 watts of mh's that should be here by the end of the week. :cheer:

tank is doing great now can't wait to see what happens with the mh's.
been up and running for about 5 months now.

Yellow and kole and blue will go in there foooor about a year for the kole or yellow and about a month for a blue hippo.

so xrunner, u have a hang on the back filter because idn wut im doing with a sump. DO U HAVE A HANGON FILTER???

I dont have a Sump
I have a Emperor 400, Aquaclear Powerhead 50 and 30, and Coralife Super Skimmer
I am ditching the 400 soon and adding a large canister filter thats around 350gph. I dont like the emperor. It doesnt really give much flow and its not very quiet I dont think.
