I like learning more and more each day, making friends on forums like this, my favorite thing is building new systems and tanks.

You know, I would say that this hobby is great also because of the people that I have met online and in person. The hobby has not only expanded my knowledge of Biology as a future highschool Biology teacher but it has also allowed me to make some pretty good friends over the years.
My favorite part of the hobby is geared a little towards the equipment side. There are two extreme types of people in this hobby - one who are all about the livestock, and the other is all about the equipment used to keep livestock alive... I love setting up new systems because it allows me to research new equipment and new methods of how to keep our systems thriving.
However, that's not my absolute favorite thing about the hobby. I love seeing my family and friends faces as they stare into the tank for hours on in when they come over for a visit. I love that my one year old daughter loves to watch the fish as they swim back and forth in the tank and is slowly taking an interest in the tank more. It makes me happy to think that one day my daughter will be able to help daddy feed the fishes.

It may sound weird... But I love the routine of keeping a SW tank. There are days that I don't like the routine, but I have learned to love it. It keeps me in check and keeps me constantly moving forward working towards a goal.

Congrats Seth, So lets see who the next winner is a start the biding. Just pick up a few new thing and the adrenalin rush that you get seeing it in the tank is awesome, what a rush. And seeing if everything is going to be happy happy. Just a big on going science project.

I love how these fish are so much smarter than the freshwater ones I've owned. My angelfish recognizes me. And I'll often catch him observing me if I'm reading a book close to the tank.
