RE-Stocking the 54G

OK...it is time for me to re-stock the 54G......The Longfin sleeper goby goes in tomorrow
I know I can't buy the fish all at once ...LOL....BUT this is what I had in there before
1 flame hawk
1 lemonpeel angel
2 yellow clown gobies
1 perc clown
2 reef blue chromis
puffer (NEVER AGAIN)
1 PJ Cardinal
I AM THINKING...of starting with
3 blue reef chromis
THEN...IDK.....I really liked the lemonpeel and LOVED the flame hawk
so maybe 1 lemonpeel
1 flamehawk
2 yellow clown gobies
BUT....DO I REALLY WANT what I had before

any suggestions of what to add with the blue chromies?????

i have a combtooth blenny, cinnamon clown, longnose hawk, and 3 chromis now....when i upgrade to my 75.... ill be looking at basselets, hogfish, wrasses, and more chromis!
not sure on the specifics though yet...
i like the candy stripe blue eye cardinals though!
Also wat about a neon dottyback?!?!
Im done with fish that jump so my choice of fish is kinda contradicting lol!
Wat jumps out to u right now meowzer?

I definitely think another lemon peel is a good choice, especially with the contrast against the blue reef chromis. Only thing that stinks with them is that they might be coral nippers.
I love my Candy Hogfish, which is actually a wrasse. He's not a jumper, slow grower, and is very peaceful.
Of course, I think every tank should have a Blenny, lol
Possibly the flame hawk since you really liked him?

I really do not have to worry about jumpers.....the led light sits right on top of the tank frame....with a small exception in the front that is covered by egg crate
HMMMMM.....You know I would love anthias.....BUT I am thinking the 54G is too small :(

The 54 would probably be too small for anything but ONE Anthias (which you could easily do...)
I love those blue reef chromis as well...so much more colorful than the standard blue green chromis.
If instead of an Anthias, you could choose a flasher or fairy wrasse.
A pair of banggai cardinals, perhaps? Not sure if you have them in another tank.
I'd definitely go for the lemonpeel, they're such pretty fish. I'm not a big fan of flame hawkfish personally, and I think some new "color" in the tank would do you good anyway.
I guess if it was me I would do:
2 Blue reef chromis
1 Bartlett's Anthias
1 Lemonpeel
2 Orange lined cardinals
2 Clown Gobies
1 Black Sailfin Blenny

The flasher wrasses do better in small groups one male and 2 females. The male will flash more to impress the 2 females and they will generally stay together traveling through the tank in a small school.
I had 3 in my 55 gallon along with several other fish and all did great.

I did forget to add that they all need to be added at the same time even if you choose to go with 2 and either get a distinct male and a distinct female if they are left alone for to long the females become the males and they will fight for dom. and territory in the tank.
I have been trying to figure out my stocking for the 58 myself its a fun but tiring thing to do LOL

I know right its one of those oooo I want one of those ohh but that one is much better but it wont go with this one okay I will get this one not that one and then O but that one is even better and on and on and on LOL

OK...Here it is (I think) OPINIONS
3 blue reef chromis
2yellow clown gobies
1 striped blennie
3 filament wrasse
1 lemonpeel angel
DON'T FORGET I already have a longfin sleeper goby
ALL added in that order....EXCEPT the YCG and blennie will be added together....
the blue chromies are gonna be ordered today....later

Got my blue chromies today...3 of them, they are in the qt....this is my first time to qt a fish.....I will leave them in there 10-14 days....and if they seem okay will add them to the 54G

Thanks.....I have never had an issue with a fish from swf :) but they are in qt
, I hope all 3 get along....then well.....whatever is next....LOL

Thanks...here are all of them....I am very pleased....they have eaten right away too...and as expected they LOOK GREAT!!!! SWF.....thank you for some great fish...yet again :)
