true true, i think our nano is gonna be a finnex, simply cause, me personally, im not partial to the rimless look, an the red sea is nice, but, it does require a lil bit of modding, the finnex, after talkin to rotary last night about it, requires no modding LOL and the price is really nice IMO :p besides, id rather build my own stand than buy one premade LOL i need a stand that will stand up to 3 rough housing pit bulls LOL

probably not... but if you keep your place at 78F or higher then yeah...
I always keep my place cold.. alot of the temp increase on my tank is because there's not much airflow in the stand and the heat off the dome light and 26w CFL is getting trapped lol... I've been running the CFL 24/7, but I think I'm gonna start running it 18on/6off where it turns off in the middle of the day cycle when the MH is on.. We'll see if that drops the temp down to 80F... if worse comes to worse I can always add fans and cut up the stand more.

up here in the great northwest, im not too worried about overheating LOL especially in our house
Well I keep my house rather cool. So, I shouldn't need a chiller: I HOPE. The $10 on the electric bill wouldn't be bad.. I was thinking waaaaay more than that..

Get it before, that way you can get the cycle going. Then with all you holiday money, you can buy some really nice coral for the tank
Nice choice, I love Finnex tanks. Really well made and are ready to go without any modding needed.

I have the Red Sea Max 130D model and I love it. The 130D model does not need some of the mods that the original 130 needed. The skimmer is awesome, the lighting is great. Many owners have had great success growing all kinds of coral with these lights. I am a newbie to this hobby, and an old lady, LOL. Therefore, I did not want to deal with refugium's or sumps or HOB filters. I wanted everything self-contained, and that is what the RSM 130D is. I purchased mine from marineandreef.com, and it included the stand, the Start-Up Kit (including substrate, salt, test kit), and the shipping was free.
