Yet another boring history lesson about Capt. McCain. Here's a thought. Maybe if the guy wouldn't have partied so much at the Naval Academy and actually studied, he would have graduated higher in his class. You know, pay attention more during your flight training? Maybe avoid being shot down? But then we wouldn't get to listen on NUMEROUS occassions how he was a POW during the Vietnam Political Conflict. Nothing like getting that 'I'm Proud To Be An American' vote.

WAH, WAH, WAH. Love how the McCain lover's don't like it when you diss McCain about his time in The Conflict. We're supposed to bow down and kiss his feet because he suffered in a POW camp, even when he could have gotten out. Sorry dude, I had family and friends in that same little war. A close friend didn't come back, one came back missing pieces, and another spent almost the same amount of time as McCain as a POW. NONE of them have ever had the fanfare or used their experiences to benefit themselves like McCain has. You talk to anyone one of them, and they just roll their eyes when they hear McCain go on about his traumatic experiences in Vietnam.
yeah, you all are really just a bunch of "wusses" and know nothing about McCain. Get your facts straight.

Not at all. My issue was with you applying that if McCain 'kept his nose in the books' during flight school, that would have difference.
IMO that comment is no different then that fat slob at a football game, who's never done anything remotely athletic in his life, yet thinks he would make the best quarterback/head coach

And obviously, it looks like McCain studied enough because he survived and is here today. And by the way, you DON'T READ BOOKS IN FLIGHT SCHOOL. don't you wish you guys had a brain?

Which was the entire point of my post. Perhaps slow down and thoroughly read everything before posting...

You know thats funny, because all of your posts give me a laugh as well. Probaly because you never have anything intelligent to say and thus have no use in these threads.

By the immature nature you respond in these threads, I doubt very seriously you were even born while Nam was going on. Yea, I was a sissy. I knew better to get involved in what was described as a political conflict, and stayed in college. My friends and family who either didn't have the resources to get into school, or were drafted because they had a low number, unfortunately found out the hard way what Vietnam was about. They didn't have the luxury of being able to go to Officer's Training and be a Fly Boy that had it relatively safe when fighting in the air. They were the grunts you saw in Platoon. If you ask them about their experiences there, they rarely want to discuss them. If you mention the movie, they say it was worse. You want someone with guts? Talk to them.

You don't read books in flight school? Now that's an interesting concept. Have you ever flown a plane? Do you know what's involved with getting a pilot's license? You think they just hand those guys a set of keys, let them jump in and fly? I think you checked your brain at the door.

History doesn't judge men by there intentions but by there actions. There are men and women who will fight when called upon by there country and then there are the sissies that hide in school.

And here is a fact about McCain, he graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1958.

You did forget one of his stellar accomplishments - Naval Academy ranking 894th out of 899.

Ill assume you dont think of McCain as a American Hero and a Honorable man.
BTW Abraham Lincoln barely had a year of formal education .So i would think finishing 894 out of 899 is better than nothing considering the US Naval Academy just dosent enroll anyone.

You know why McCain was able to get in, all you need to do is look at who his father and grandfather were. If Lincoln had finished his formal education he would not have finished 3rd to last in his class.
All that said, I think McCain is for the most part an honorable man and should be given credit for the sacrifices he made for our country.

Actually if your asking what I was assuming, I'll tell you. I was just wondering which Admirals the people in the 895-899 positions were related to, we know which one the 894th was.
I use to think he was honorable and honest. This election has convinced me otherwise...

So were you old enough to go to Nam? How about Iraq? Let's open the draft back up and let them call your number and see who the sissy is.

1.) Nothing more to say
2.) someone tough would be me considering I just graduated from buds last month which is the worlds hardest military training. I also wasn't aware that you were 62+ years old considering your friends were drafted in nam. Sorry, I will leave my arguments at that and truly am sorry for any disruption I may have caused to you, everyone is entitled to their beliefs(in the U.S.).
3.)dude get off of here and come back whith something nice to say.
4.) Sorry I misjudged you. Sorry for the dirogatory names and anything else I said that might have bothered you.
