Be interesting to see if they play up the age. McCain's mom looks pretty lively out there. He's only 11 years older than Clinton so I am not sure how much of an issue it would be anyway. As long as he selects a good running mate I doubt it is going tobe much of a issue.
except clinton was president 15 years ago...

They say presidents age extremely fast while in office ... 3 to 1.
So at the end if his 1st term in "President Years" he would be 84... Then I guess you can take in account his POW experience which probably added a few more years to his age.
Reagan was 69 when he started his first term.
The 3 to 1 thing is kind of goofy. Kind of like counting "dog years". There is absolutely no measurable data to calculate an additional "age" a job creates.
Darth, I heard McCain last week shoot down the idea of ruling out a second term. He said he would never say something like that because it would effectively make his first term in office a "lame duck" session.

Chuck Norris said it so it must be true.
However; last I heard he recanted this statement after McCain's 95 year old mother gave Chuck a fat lip and a black eye.

This thread has been reduced to you squabbling over McCain's age. Are you serious? I'm slightly offended if you're actually considering that in your voting rubric.

I really don't care about how old he is, but would have some respect for an 80 year old running the presidential schedule.

It has to be a consideration. And it you'll see that it will be picked up as a story if he wins the primary.

I don't doubt that it will be picked up. I'm just pointing out yet another example of how Democrats are spreading the CDC termed stupidity-virus. This virus clouds Americans' minds forcing them to consider non-sequitur items such as age, before policy, and moral integrity.
Rylan, its becoming interesting to see what reasons you'll come up with to not vote for a Republican.

People won't for an older candidate, but they will vote for a candidate because of the candidate's race or gender?

What is wrong with wondering if an 80 year old man can work a 14 hour day 7 days a week for 4 years?
btw they had a whole talk show on the subject this evening on some drive home talk show. I didn't listen to it, but that was going to be his main topic.

Sure I can comment.... lets say everything you have written is correct. My counterpoint would be that Clinton didn't drag us into a 7 year war because of faulty intel.
He destroyed a medicine factory that provided meds in the regin based on faulty intel. he then went on to LIE about it. No doubt MANY suffered as the meds they provided was for a vast region.
I see your point now...only republican action on what you claim is faulty intel and lies you claim to cover up count. That fits the defniniton of hypocrit. There is no difference...if what you have typed here is your "conviction", you'll denounce Clinton as a liar.
Also, if he would have actually done something more substantial , the twin towers might still be standing. Unfortunately, we'll never know . IMO...the message sent in Somalia and other areas under Clinton...is that all I'll do is fire a few bottle rockets...that's it..and I'll cut and run quickly.

He destroyed a medicine factory that killed innocent civilians over faulty intel..then lied about it and tried to cover it up.
Same thing you've been screaming about over numerous pages regarding Bush. I see, you have levels of acceptablilty

RYLAN>>>>There is also some reports CLinton also knew about what was about to happen in Rwanda and did nothing about it. The same thing you been stating about Bush regarding Africa and not doing anything.
All I am saying ...please include the members of your party when using your ethical microscope.
So, age for a president is a factor? I think Reagan proved that wrong.
Also, I could state how being a woman or black may make their presidency more difficult...and site some loon theory.
I'm glad the Clintons played the race card...shows the level they will sink to win.
The report one sited about McCain and one term I would bet came from a left wing liberal loon website...make a list and check them out...probably the usual suspects.
