I have been thinking of trading 1 of my English Bulldogs for a African Grey. Ive never had a bird before but Ive always thought they were beautiful birds.
They are. I have an American Bulldog too and wouldn't trade any of them. I was just kidding around, but I know you knew this. I love my birds. The Goffin was 1 year a week ago and as per literature stopped keening (crying) and I actually miss it. She would sit on my shoulder and cry rocking back and forth for hours non-stop and I became so accustomed to it that now I actually wish she hadn't stopped. She is my favorite. The yellow head is the coolest though. barks like a dog, though American bulldogs don't so where he picked it up is anyone's guess. If you do get a bird do get an African. They are on the whole quiet though can pick up talking very well, not as destructive as most other tropicals, but do, as with all tropicals, need much attention...long term. So make sure you are possitive you want to dedicate years and years of attention to it before getting one. They are nothing like dogs and will literally go insane if they do not get DAILY ATTENTION. And they need big cages with lots of toys and good fresh foods. These guys food bill is 3 times what mine costs.
