I'd say hold off on the email idea. Let's see if he gets his money back first. You don't want to piss them off so bad that they'll disappear completely and he loses any chance on getting his money back. They can claim that he has been spreading rumors about them that negatively affect their business. Only the people who have had negative dealings with this company should be in contact with them.
I agree that this may piss them off. thats why I said let me know and I will. So let me rephrase this. After you get this settled, then I say we all attempt to email ( that is if it goes through ) and let them know that we are aware of there business practices ( not from who ) and that we are all posting for everyone on every forum to stay away from them. Maybe we get lucky and they do go away.

Ok I have a suggestion to attempt for you to get your stuff or money back. I agree with the charge back and BBB and all the other suggetsions. Mine is in addition to all this.
I say all of the great people on this forum each take three minutes of there time and email aquatic connection by there "contact us by email" customer service option on there web site. We all tell them what we think about what they are doing and that we are all making sure everyone on every forum are being informed of there business practice.
I'll gladly be the first one if you would like. Just let me know.
Once again I really appreciate the support. If you felt compelled to contact this company I feel it would be beneficial for future customers. Maybe we can set this business straight by proving that screwing one person over affects their company more than they realize.

No they don't realize or just don't care that they do this to people. Customer service is what keeps a business moving forward. Without it, it's only a matter of time before they are done doing business. There are plenty of other saltwater forums that allot of people frequent and all it takes is one person to start a thread.
That thread can be found ususally if another person does a search, then wammo!
I mean, before I buy anything for my tank whether it's equipment, fish or such, I always try to read on if it's good or not. I think allot of us do. IS the equipment junk, what is it's success rate? How are their customer service for this company yadda yadda yadda.... Either way, I hope you have some recourse and I will be following this thread with the rest of you.
Think of the innocent starting reefers out there that might end up stumbling across this site to purchase. They usually don't know these forums exist so they are helpless sometimes.

ILOVEMYTANK,
i say we do that as well there is nothing worse than buying smthng and then it doesnt show or takes forever.
srry to u who got taken lesson learned for me.

Dang! Sorry you have found one of the *bad* ones. If you Google *Aquatic Connection consumer* you'll see quite a few complaints against them on different consumer sites. I'd have your CC company dispute the charge. Then I'd email the company and tell them that you have contacted BBB, the local TV station at the company's location, filed other complaints on these consumer sites and that you will get your money back. Rub their nose on it. They can't get away with this kind of crap.
PS do contact the TV station...
I've used this company a few times with no issues as such and was quite satisfied with the results. I googled what you stated and only found 3 sites that have a complaint, which it was in fact the same. One of the three is Saltwaterfish.com.
I'm not saying that this guy didn't get hosed, but I've found nothing wrong with this site. I would scrutinize the specials, as I found that my orders were filled later, probably after the sales expired and I felt got charged full price on some items.
In fact I read more from this site than at the time as to why I chose them in the first place.

To second that.
I always got a call from them when the order is shipped. They ship everything next day air, so I would expect it, in which was also satisfying to me. Orders were always full, packaged well, and everything arrived perfectly in all 4 of my orders from them
However, I can't imagine dumping that kind of dough on live rock on any of these sites.
That is the bigger scam.

If you research a bit more, you will find numerious complaints etc on this company. When a company lets a dispute go that far that it hits BBB for example, it's a clear sign that they do NOT care about anything else but selling their stuff. If you've had good dealings with them on more than 1 occation, then you did good. Clearly there are a lot of people out there who have not been so lucky. Many SW boards has threads about them.

That company is also known as Aquacon with the emphasis on CON. They have an incredibly long history of complaints. It seems to run in cycles and drops off people's radar for a while but they are consistently a source of complaints an negative comments.

Call your CC and reverse the charge. Your CC company will reverse it immediatelywhile they conduct their own investigations.

Well, good news. I finally got two correct tracking numbers from them and the LR is scheduled to be delivered on Friday. It only took three weeks of calling nonstop and being lied to repeatedly. Thanks for all of your support.

Wow people still order from aquaCON? As stated this same problem comes up over and over and over on all the fish forums, they are well known for this. You won't see your money again. That's why I'll pay more to get the customer service factor. I thought they had another name out there too...

I could care less about what a bunch of SW blog boards say. Everybody here has an opinion one way or another, just like every big board.
There is only one source at this point to do any research and here is what that BBB board says about said company. BTW Saltwaterfish.com scored out as a B+
On the BBB
Company Aquatic Connection
Rating Our opinion of what this rating means:
F
We strongly question the company’s reliability for reasons such as that they have failed to respond to complaints, their advertising is grossly misleading, they are not in compliance with the law’s licensing or registration requirements, their complaints contain especially serious allegations, or the company’s industry is known for its fraudulent business practices.
There is no need to google a bunch of bloggers posting their stories and opinions of a company.
As I said, I had no problems even on the first to the last shipment, but I did scrutinize the specials. As the BBB reported is one of those alleged complaints.
I still say buying LR from any of these sites is an overpriced scam anyway.

Please PM me and tell me where you would recommend that I buy my LR from. I need roughly 150 pounds soon.
