Rocky Horror

I've seen that movie dozens of times all at the midnight showing, used to be friends with the people who did security at the midnight showings in harvard square. its hilarious, some people go a little overboard on it. but it used to be a great place to pick up really hot freaky chicks (back before goth went emo). I guess if you've never been its kinda hard to get, the show is off the wall, and so outrageous. I dont watch it at home because its not the same. and yes having an open mind helps. if you recoil at homos**ual inuendos then its probably not the show for you, at all.

So it's a queer show? That's all you had to say. That's what I was thinking, just checking....a queer show....

Define "queer". 'Queer' as is odd, or 'Queer' as in the redneck version of what you call a h0m0$exual? If it's the second definition, I think uneverno's assumption of you being a bigot would be correct, based solely on this statement.
But to answer your question, I wouldn't consider the movie a 'queer show' (second definition). It's actually a twisted combination of Science Fiction Theater and Frankenstein. The main character just happens to be a transvestite from the planet Trans$exual.
Now if I were to use my first definition of queer, then I would tend to agree with you on your assessment. I would definitely characterize RHPS as 'odd'.

No, I'm not defining the word as strickly gay or homo, rather odd, confused, one who publicly exhibits non-typical conforming behavior. But yes, in the context of this thread (movie), we are referring to all of these things in relation to one's sexual confusion. Having never seen the movie, legitimate assumptions can be made that some of these characters fit this description, and definately have had, or are having, some serious identity confusion as to who they are, be it sexually or mentally.

mmm - of course - conformity is, therefore, obviously the correct form of behaviour. The only remaining question would be: Conformity to what?

We are? How do you draw that conclusion?

Having never seen the movie, legitimate assumptions on your part can be made - how?
Methinks thou dost protest too much.

This topic is about a movie, not a discussion on bigots or who is a bigot, members' sexuality, or definning words.
Lets get back on topic, else you risk causing this topic to be closed.
I have always heard of this show, seen it on the movie marque but never went. Doesn't sound like something I care about either.
Only real horror movies for me.
