RBTA would be the way to go. I would still wait another month or two though, and just let the tank mature.

i didnt do a clip on, but i got a fan.. ill show you a picture of it on Monday..
it works perfectly.. however i top off nearly 1 gal a day with water which is not fun.. lol.. i keep tripping out that my salinty params are getting way out of wack and stuff so i lkeep topping it off while im @ work.

hey guys.. this morning when i got in, i was ready to sad trip and seehow low my water was in my tank and i come and its FULL int he back chambers.. everything is okay.. however
my display was lowa s ----.. how would that work.. i toppedo ff the display and everything seems fine .. also there was not 2 much but a little bit of calf buildup around the sides.. i duno why?

again, today my DISPLAY water was low.. not my back chambers.. i touched the nozzle that is comming from my maxijet and its shooting out water so i know the powerhead is working.. what could be wrong?.. why is my display tank evaporating instead of my back chambers now?

I would think that the display and back chambers have to have the same level if the pump is running. My suggestion is that you put more water in if you want the tank level higher.

and spanko i did add more water yesterday.. came back to my water low again.. i mean id ont mind if itsmy display tank going down rather then my back .. however somthing must be wrong for it to be doingt hat.

Again back chamber where the water enters from the display and front display have to be at the same level if the pump is running. Take a look at the tank and verify if this is true. I am not familiar with the setup of the chambers in the nano-cube but if water is evaporating in my biocube there is a separate chamber in the back where the return pump is. This chamber lowers with evaporation and is where I have my ATO floats.

water level is the same as the back chamber in chamber 3 where the water enters into the display.. just checked.

Okay does not compute that the display would be lower than the back chambers if the pump is running when you come in.
Someone else gonna have to get into this. I think it is defying some natural law somehow!!!

Is it possible you have the plugs on the wrong timers?

Try unplugging the pumps and see if the water levels out. I also like to make habit once a month to pull out the maxijet and clean the plastic grate guard on it. Sometimes detrius and chaeto hairs are clogged against it. Hope you find the problem.

they have been onthe same timers since i started the tank..
little back history:
On Friday before i left the office, i really topped the bejesus out of the tank so the water level would not be so low.. to the opint where my main tank was almost about to overflow into the back..
i dont know how that can affect anything but who knows figured id let you know what i did on friday before this thing went crazy..
keep in mind when i came in Monday morning the tank in the back chamber was completly full as if i had just toppedi t off.. normally its really low and i have to pour 1 gal of water back there to refill it back up to its normal place.

Sounds like you filled the DT, higher than the slots are, the slots being where the water goes to the back chambers. I have done that before

neverrrmind.. came in today and the back chambers all of a sudden was low as ----.. topped it off 3/4's of a gallon.

back to normal.

Good to hear, can you get me a pic of how you got a fan blowing? Has it made and difference?
