S&P Downgrades US credit rating

S&P doing the downgrade is a good thing. It shows the politicians they can't speech their way through this mess, Mr 0bama...
The debt commission is going to be important but of course Nancy Queen of Botox is on DIva time as far as appointing her reps. The sooner they can make some public proposals the better.

Tell me how Cain can not be Elected. Why is it because he is Black or a Conservative Black or the Big one opposed to Abortion. Better yet tell me how any other Republican can win when not one of them have Ever RUN a Business in their lives.

I like Cain myself. I thought all the pundits were wrong to write him off until he started going off on muslims. I don't disagree with what he said, but if you're going to run for a major office you can't shoot from the hip like that. I would still vote for him, but the independents won't touch him now. He took aim at muslims, but only managed to blow a hole in his own boat. We can now stick a fork in his campaign.

come on, we could run a goat and it would be less tainted that obama. But we're ready to write just about anyone off, that the left wing says can't win...

While I share your frustration over the left smearing every good conservative candidate, in this case it was him saying something very controversial. This forum is a perfect microcosm of the reactions honest opinion gets in America today. Think of it this way: if you or I posted what Cain said about islam and muslims here, what reaction would it get? People think of candidates in soundbites now, not the issues. The media knows it and try to drive the narrative, like some folks here on this forum. I think Cain would make a great president, the problem is that all the media and dumicratics will broadcast his unfortunate choice of words over and over and those in the mushy middle won't listen to what he has to say otherwise.

Zero foreign policy experience, No political experience. We just saw what happens when you put a rookie in the white house. Cain is unelectable for that alone. As far as the others never run a business I guess you didn't hear, Mitt Romney is in the race.

Cain's muslim comment made him look like a douchebag. Being black causes problems but not for the reasons you would think. If the Republicans threw up a rookie candidate that was black you'd see a campaign against him claiming the Republicans just threw up a token to take advantage of his race. I like him, he just isn't electable, neither is Bachmann, Palin or Santorum. This race will come down to Perry and Romney and they could end up as the Republican ticket.

I have looked up what he said about Muslims and It is the Truth about them. Sorry but name one place they have settle in that they have refused to Adopt to American Style justice. In cites thay have Settled in they are Demanding Shaira Style Courts were THEY ARE in Charge of INFEIDELS can not do anything about the,. They want the Right to have HONOR killings of their Women if they refuse to Obey them. Also they want to keep their Women out of the Schools here in America. Yet the MSM refuses to do anything about it. Now Yes he does not have any Political Experiance yet he Knows Finaicals and Business so if not President he sure as hell would be a better Treasury Sec than Turbo Tax Gietner. If the GOP wins this needs to be their Cabinet for the Good of the Nation. Sec of State Bolton W Bushs UN Ambassator that way all the Despots will know We are Through Screwing around. Sec of Tres Cain he will get the Economy running Fast. Atty General Fitzgerald the man that has thrown more IL Governors in Prison than anyone else in the last 10 Years. He does not care if your a Democrat or a Republican he will nail you to a tree either way.
Sec of Trans find someone that actually runs a company that is out there say the CEO of either a RR or a major Trucking outfit. Then let them Reform how the Roads are Built Big time. Sec of Defense find a good NCO that knows what the Boots on the Ground need not some officer wants and get it to them. Lastly Homeland Sec Dept Get rid of those IDOITS how is Stripping Granny making us more safe when we should be doing what Isreal does also reform the Border Partol and ATF.

Cain is a black version of Ross Perot, "Ya know what I'm sayin?"
Perry and Romney on the same ticket? A Devout Christian and a Mormon? Perry's ego would never allow it. Never in a million years....

Politics make s strange bedfellows. Who would have guess Bush and Reagan would have ended up on the same ticket in 1980? Cain is more grounded than Perot but yeah...

Sadly I think a perry romney ticket is a distinct possibility...
Perry will have all the Conservative Right on his side. But you're going to see the "real" Rick Perry once he hits the national spotlight. He won't be able to dodge national debates like he did during this last run for Governor. I found it interesting he didn't announce any join in on the Iowa debate last night. Doesn't want that stuff coming out of the closet just yet.

Romney is going to be hard to beat. He has the experience from last time out. Had I known what I learned during my first campaign before hand it would have been a way different outcome.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I wouldn't want anyone else knowing the state of Texas accounts for 37% of all new jobs created in the country, either.

When Texas passes an open-carry law, I'll vote for another Texan. I sat out W's second election, and if it's a Texan on the ticket, I'll sit out the next. As I've said before, the only difference between a NY RINO and a Texas Republican is the accent.

I'd rather shoot myself in the head than do anything that would give 0bama another term. I'm voting for whoever the Republican is.

While that does weigh on my mind, as one of our state senators said in the hearings for the no-permit ccw said: "The measure of what politicians think of the citizens is how they trust them with firearms." So a state like Texas that treats citizens like they all are criminals and inch from going on a killing spree, shows me their politicians have no trust in those that are the real government-the people.
