What kind of fish, what kind of fish!!!
Inquiring minds need to know!
Ordered a trio (two females and a male) of the McCosker's Flasher Wrasse and a mated pair of purple fire fish. Also considering adding a Rainfords Goby, but concerned that it might eat the pods that are finally starting to show up, so haven't decided for sure. Other thoughts or suggestions are welcome
.

And on that note, I guess I better get cracking if I'm going to get this think up to date. Only half a month to go
.
On May 12th, having returned from North Dakota where I attended my oldest sons college graduation, I was able to snap some additional pictures of the brain (and a few of the other corals). Got some good actinic shots as well.
Red-green open brain

My green palys

Better pic of the Bam Bams

Red-green open brain under actinics

and trumpet coral under actinics

Also a better pic of the new yellow feather duster worm

On May 14th, my second shipment of ricordias from Mike arrived. Ordered a multi-colored frag pac, and since I'd ordered from him previously he sent extras. I got nine this time (at least three already have two mouths, so should split fairly soon), bringing my total to 16
!
Ricordias upon arrival

Started gluing and placing them ASAP, trying to create a multi-colored ricordia rock effect similar to the one mike had posted
https://forums.saltwaterfish.com/t/318877/attatching-ricordea-and-others-easy-as-1-2-3
of course my results are no where near as spectacular as his, but I still like it.

Think it came out pretty nice.

And I still have a couple left over that I'm waiting to see were to place

Thanks again Mike!

YAYA I'll remind you every week!
Where do you get your feather dusters? I saw you mentioned your LFS, but I haven't seen any other colors but the standard *brown* at any of the LFS's there. I so want another color than that. I did find a Fountain Feather that is almost like a coco worm, but not as colorful (purple/orange).

Not a problem, you remind me all you want ~ I owe you, and I don't forget. Just a matter of how long they take to grow out. I personally wouldn't send out a frag with any less than 3 polyps on it, and as you can see right now it has only 5. Just a matter of time.
Feather dusters came from my LFS, don't know, but that is one of the few things he seems to be able to get in color. Now the coco worms that he gets are the brown, and he wants way too much for them. Don't know anything about fountain feathers. If you want, I can ask him about getting in another feather duster of a varied color and I'll ship it to you
? Just a thought.

Opps, just noticed I forgot one ~ my monti would be upset with me if I forgot to add it to the thread.
Pink-edged plating montipora

I don't know much about the T-5s and how they affect coralline growth. What light did you have before you added the Tek? I'm seeing much better coralline growth under the PCs than under the Metal Halide.
Just a stock light perfecto. I did have coral in it for awhile and moved my little 8w picotope lamp directly over them.
They grew to tripple the size with the stock light and the pico lamp. They are now growing even better. I lost my colt coral however finally got tired of seeing it and tossed it out into the front yard... It started peeling like snot on the tops so figured it was time to go. I guess I should have tossed it into my pico but I stashed my galaxy in it until I get my pred tank up and running. The 150 typhoon III is working overtime and I have the tank filled and the sump is about 75 plus gallons so should be done tomorrow.

Scopus the tank diary is awsome! The tank in person is outstanding. Now I know you have deadlines with tomorrow being the last day of classes so what are you doing on here. We have work to do on yet another build tonight, and Sat a tank to service. I managed to get that old Oceanic 65 stand and tank both sanded and double coated with bonding primer today. Tomorrow the Black satin oil base goes on! My frag tank has begun!!!!!!
