Thanx for the heads up Randy but you know I have this thread tagged!
Sorry to hear about the deaths and the mixup in the s.e.x. of the McCoskers.
However, what beautiful specimens. I love the McCoskers coloring and the purple firefish is my second favorite next to the Helfrichi.
What are you going to do about the dead ones and the mix up? Hope the site you bought them from has some sort of guarantee.
Oh yeah, you do like you some open brains don't you?

Course as soon as you start taking pictures, someone has to show up to crash the party. So I had to get a few pics of this guy as well (on of my super tongins (sp).

Nope, didn't know you had it tagged (thanks).
Kind of a major bummer. Already been credited on the deaths, holding off on reorder for now ~ as you'll seen later (or maybe tomorrow, since I have to go to a meeting), I did find a female. I fell in love with the McCosker's (actually Yellowfins) once I saw them, and it was obvious they were going to be the grail fish of the tank. The Firefish I'm going to leave at one, because everything I've read says that two will fight, unless they are paired. Want to find one more female Yellowfin, but not sure I want to try and reorder from the same site, I don't need another male, or another species.
Open brains
~ just wait till you see pictures of #3
(I've been busy working my way into the poor house).

Yup this is the hobby to do it. I just found about six psuedocorynactis corallimorphs in my tank. Not sure what I'm gonna do at this point. Check out my thread if you want.

I been trying to watch your thread since I first checked it out. I love the flat reef look you're working on with the plating monti's. Bummer on the corallimorphs, is their anyway to treat them like with aptasia? Googled em, cause I didn't have a clue what they were, and sounds like they're kind of nasty. Can they be hand-picked? BTW, how do you tag a thread? Been trying to keep an eye on several of the diary threads, but its hard to keep track.

Excellent your almost caught up
Thanks Dennis, almost there (course I already have over 75 pictures in June, what with the new brain and the new fish, so I may never get caught up
). Have to quit for now though, got to get to my meeting.

Thank you for the kind words on my tank. Just posted a picture in it for you to take a look at of the Pseudocorynactis.
To tag a thread go to your User CP and to edit options. In the Messaging and notification section, go to the drop down box and select Daily E-mail Notification. Don't select instant e-mail notification, the mods have it turned off. then go down and check the boxes enable private messaging, receive e-mail notification of new private messages, and Show New Private Message Notification Pop-up. Then each morning in your e-mail you will have a list of all of the threads you have posted in if they have new posts to them.
Hope that makes sense.
On treating the corallimorphs, I have gotten information that boiling water, Joes Juice, Kalk paste and all the same stuff that works on Aiptasia works on these. Have not tried anything yet.

Thank you my friend, coming from you that means a lot. Remember though, I have seen pictures of your tank as well, so my question is whose soul besides your own did you sign over?

Randy, the new pics look great I'll have to get over and see your tank in person one of these days. Definetly know what you mean about being in the poorhouse, my wife just allowed me to order the Reefkeeper Elite controller for my tank and now my wife has all sorts of plans for me to work off my debt.
Are your MH's HQI or mogul? I have a new theory about the color on our digitatas after some reading last weekend.

Thanks John, anytime. BTW, did you hear about the Reef club meeting tomorrow ~ 7:00pm @ the high school? Hope to see you there. No idea on the lights, I'll have to check (is it stamped on them or something?)

Finally, I'm in June (June 1st)! Snapped several pictures today, just of the fish and few corals. Very excited by the new additions to the tank.
Corals First (nothing new);
Montipora digitatas

Gorgonia pterogorgia

and a couple of the fish;
Yellowfin Flasher Wrasses (Paracheilinus flavianalis
)

Purple Firefish Goby (Nemateleotris decora
)

Oh my

Also on June 1st, while in Billings, I picked up some new bottled food; live tiger pods (which I dumped in my refugium), arctic pods and phytofeast by Reef Nutrition. Anybody else use these or familiar with them? The fish really seem to go for the arctic pods, and the phytofeast claims to be better than DTs (orange carnation coral has started improving since I started feeding it this stuff). Just curious if anyone else uses it
.
