Nope, its definitely pink, I know have the original parent colony, Dennis210 has a frag, and I have a frag. All have a pink edge. We also have a purple, but this one is definitely pink

interesting... i love LOVE montis, well acros too of course, but I have a orange cap, an idaho grape plating, and a green with purple tip plating. I also like encrusting montis.
Maybe I should find a pink tip to epoxy to my overflow or side glass...

So the white parts on the Halimeda, death, something picking on them errr what?
Yes the white parts are leaves dying ~ seems to do that periodically. If you check the halimeda thread in the plants and macroalgae forum, you'll see that I asked reefkprZ about it, and from his answer, I would assume that its normal. I did finally get a iodine test kit and started testing, and found that my tank was really low ~ think that may have been why so much of it was turning white. I've started dosing iodine, and its looking much better.

On May 20th, I recieved several zoa frags from a fellow reefer on the boards, Thanks codylowe
. Sorry folks, but these aren't the best pictures as I have them in a tank at school right now rather than at home. Going to iodine dip all my existing colonies, before I introduce anything else to the tank.

Having had good luck with both iodine and strontium dosing in the past, having read that iodine can also improve shrimp health/molting, and knowing the halimeda plant sucks up lots of iodine I had been considering dosing again. Also noticed that several of the zoas (mainly Armor of God, but a few others as well) did not appear to be doing very well ~ and somewhere I've read that they also use iodine. However, having also read that too much dosing can be toxic to corals and lead to shrimp molting too often, I didn't want to dose without being able to test. So I've been waiting on test kits I ordered. Finally, May 21, the test kits arrived. Iodine tested as zero ~ took a total of 6 drops of Lugals solution (over two days) to bring iodine back up to desired levels. Strontium was also low. Began dosing with Two LIttle Fishes Iodine and Strontium supplements, and have been noticing improvements in coral colors and growth (NOTE: I do not recommend dosing, unless you are testing!). Also decided I'm going to have to be better about frequent water changes.

Orange ricordia

Purple ricordia

And what I've been calling a purple hairy, which I'm told is properly called a pink frilly.

In a major push to get things here before summer hit, on May 30th, I got three seperate orders in; Zoas from a fellow reefer, more zoas from another reefer, and fish and a coral (from an online source).
RHagemann had been working with me for a couple weeks putting together an order of zoas, and it finally arrived today. These are absolutely awesome
~ Thanks again RHagemann.
Armor of God (new frag ~ yeah!
)

Devil's Armor (2 frags ~ definitely my new favorite zoa, have to get Armegeddon now to complete the trio)

Jokers

Pink Palys (Almost as vibrant as the AoG and Devil's Armor, very nice
)

and Tubs Blue

phtby sent me some pink panther zoas

Again, sorry for the poor quality of some of the shots, they are still in a frag tank at school, till I get a chance to iodine dip all my in tank zoas ~ want to make sure I don't have some kind of zoa predator.

From the online source, I got a awesome new green brain (Trachyphyllia radiata), 3 Yellowfin Flasher Wrasses (Paracheilinus flavianalis), and 2 Purple Firefish Gobies (Nemateleotris decora). Unfortunately, one of the Yellowfins and one of the Purple Firefish were DOA
. The Firefish were supposed to be a pair, and the Yellowfins were supposed to be a trio of one male and two females; all three were male
.
Here is order upon arrival;

Pic of two living wrasses

Pic of Firefish

Here they are being transferred into the tank;

One settled in front of the rockwork, the other moved behind it.

Later, I caught the Firefish under the Actinics
