Lol I highly doubt they would get me one. After getting a new monitor for my computer and a $200 video card for it i probably wont get anything for a while.

Built my stand today. It's ugly but it's sturdy. So going to get some LS from petsmart and I guess ill be making some phone calls so get 30 jugs of distilled water!
And got a question....should i mix the salt before or after i put it in the tank??? And if i can mix it while its in the tank should i add sand after i mix the water??? Need help never done this with a big tank

you can buy a 24in. shop light at wal-mart and put your saltwater bulbs in it until you get the right light. i did this when i first started and it worked great. just dont buy 50/50 lights buy the right kind.

go to wal-mart and buy a 24in. shop light until you get your power compact. i did this when i first started mine and it worked great. just get the right lights for it and not 50/50's. you dont need a halide for such a small tank that is overkill.

premade salt water here costs $10 a jug and thats a little under 3 gallons

But! Joeyyy, real life friend on here that got me into salt water, has some of the 29 cent refils from kroger so we put a 45 gallon tub in the back of my truck and made 4 trips into kroger refilling the jugs till we had about 30 gallons got home filled up the tank with my 5 gallon bucket then mixxed my salt to 1.023.
Since im short on money i decided to just use play sand instead of LS. I hope this will be ok, I prefer the look of fine sand in tanks anyway :p. Anyway i wet the sand down and drained the water out of it twice now im letting it soak over night. I Hope this will be ok, any thoughts?

Do what??? light is light.. how else would you successfully keep sps or clams in a nano? with T5HO or halides, but with the dimensions of the biocube a 150 or 175w MH is the best bet.
I have a 150w MH over my sps dominated 15gallon cube.. a power compact wouldn't work for that app.

Put all the lights on timers.. the moonlights on a reversed light cycle or even less.
