I got a fish today!!!

fish seems to be doing fine. Still hides a bit but has been coming out a lot more. The only thing that concerns me now is the water temp. It says its 80 in there. My heater is set to about 77 but if you look at the water around it it looks like its alwayse on (i can see what looks like hotter water comign off of it) So i took my top off and put a fan on it. Temp still reads the same. It doesnt feel that warm when i touch it though. Im confused.

unplug that heater fora bit see wut happens
u may need to set it at 74

not all heaters are accurate. some of mine and my friends heaters are set at different degress and the water temp is always off by like 4 degrees. well thats for me and my friends heaters

yeah that heater i gave ya is kinda old
so i would set it lower and see if that helps

i turned it down to 74 and turned the heater off for about 20 mins, its down to about 79 now hope i gets better!

well my tank is at 82-84 and the corals and fish are doing great. hope you fix your problem

Isn't it a little early to have a fish already? How long has your tank been cycling? If you get more live rock your fish will love it...
