Should I throw my brown balls in the sump??

Hi.
I used to have a canister filter with those little brown balls as media. I'm not sure what type., but I think they are ceramic. Definitely not the blue bio-balls though.
I no longer have the filter, and have a sump w/ skimmer. I was wondering if it's a good idea to throw the balls in with the LR. Or should I just leave it out? I'm in the process of cycling my some LR and threw the balls in there too just in case I decide to use them. I figured it would just be a little extra surface area for bacteria, so it would help, but just wanted to double check.

I don't see that it will cause any damage to do so. I say go for it but someone who knows more will be along soon!

I'd toss them.....

Henry my dear friend I don't even know what "BOW CHICA BOW WOW!!!!!!!" means I will research it as soon as I get back from helping my female friend install a refuge. It should not take me to long to lay some pipe.

BTW Woody what did you do with your brown balls ? You do know you will always be known as the WOODY WITH THE BROWN BALLS
