Yeah dude. It's taken me six months to finally get ready for SPS frags. lol. I still am tweaking things here and there.
I'm going to order some clean up crew next week. I'm all outta snails. I'm givin' away my hermits to a buddy of mine. I'm going to go all snails and maybe a few green mythrax crabs and some brittle stars for scavangers. I think I'm going to get a peppermint shrimp too because I spotted a couple aiptasia.
Oh yeah, I just ordered "The Reef Aquarium, Vol 1" by Sprung and Delbeek. Hopefully it will give me more information than what I can find on the internet about taking care of SPS corals. It should be arriving sometime on monday or tuesday. I kinda bought it also because I need something to read in the evenings to calm me down. I've been getting a bit nervous because of Emma getting here and everything. If vol 1 is good, I'll get vol 2 which is soft corals and LPS for my wife. But what I really want is Vol 3 that is everything to do with equipment and technicalities. Each book of the three volume series is over 500 pages each. Textbook size. lol
Anyways, the greensleeves isn't opening it's polyps yet, but that's ok and to be expected. Harry called me this evening to make sure everything was going well and that I was satisfied. Great person - good business sense, Highly recommended.
Oh, and I'm sad to say that I am getting rid of the scrubber for now and opting for chaeto. The reasoning is because I want to get rid of an extra pump and light to cut down on my electric bill some. On my future 90g I'll have it built right inside a 10g tank, but for now, the scrubber gotta go.
