I just got an email from Tenecor. As it turns out, the tank was needed to be completely rebuilt. I guess the engineers got into it and there was a lot of structural damage to the tank. It is scheduled to ship next Wednesday or Thursday.

They didn't figure this out say the week after you refused shipment?
Poor guys are probably swamped.

Sorry to hear of all the headaches with them after I recommended them to you Chris
....I suppose as long as the finished product is good, that's what matters...I am still very happy with my Tenecor tank.

Sorry about all the troubles. But it's better than to have a tank that large with structural problems. Wouldn't want all that water to start leaking.

so they are knocking the price back some for all these inconveniences they are causing you right lol.
Not so much. There is some kickback, but it hasn't been all that bad. In the time that they have taken to get my tank back I have been able to beef up my stocklist. There are some suprises :)

Tell me about it! Oh well...it is the holiday season and they are running some really sweet deals right now, so I figure I can wait a few more weeks.

Yeah thanks for ruining my life kirk!!! Just kidding, they have been really responsive and this is another reason that I will continue to use them in the future. Instead of taking the shortcut (like many would have) they replaced the whole thing and made sure that this was sound before they sent it back.

I fully agree...I dont want this monster going into my basement and then causing me 10's of thousands of dollars in replacement for other things because it breaks

WOW! for a tank that size, if I where worried of it breaking, I would definetly built a drain under it.
Just a thought,

marked down to $1300 in Dublin, CA! I guess this recession is hurting everybody's business. BUT, the left overs are picked over. The prettiest Clarions shipped out early. But if you have the budget, you could buy a $1300 Clarion and grow him into a healthy $2500 fish! That's a better return than you can get in the stock market!
