So i was a very irresponsible reef-tard for teh last few years. I used a GFI for a long time because i didnt want to kill myself or burn my house down. But unfortunately it was tripping for some reason a long time ago ( because of a faulty powerhead i later found out.) well i got used to not using it, and before long forgot i even had it.....until last night.
for the last few days i kept smelling something getting stronger and stronger, i smelled like something was burning, but i looked all over and could never find out what it was......well last night i found out, and if this went on any longer i think i could have started a fire......

so please, use a GFI for your tanks.....i spent all day today redoing my electrical with GFI's

The before pic of your electrical setup looks scary!
I like your skimmer. I'm sure it will work out really well for you. :D

it still is confusing, but its not THAT bad i think. my system only has what it needs, nothing else. 1 main pump....T's off to the refugium and my frag tank. along the way it also has 2 feed lines for a gfo and carbon reactor. some dosing pumps and a frag tank. thats it just alot of electrical cords, but they are all gfi protected now and up and out of the way

That is how every basement should look, nice job - I like the fish ladder as well, J/K - that is a neat reabbitfish, is he a juvi. - how big is he. I would really like to move everything into my basement, but I might be moving in a year or so. Great job my friend.
