last night after a long trip back from MD, i setup my new retro MH kit. They look awesome! the color is just amazing! I currently only have them on for 4 hours because its an upgrade from my original 350watt MH odyssea POS. I will be looking for a 48" actinic strip for simulation of morning/evening. Heres some recent photos. The wiring still isnt 100% done , but its working and on!

Hey
Sorry I wrote a long message saying how wonderful I think your tank(s) look, and how much of an inspiration these journal threads have always been to me, esp when still a novice at the hobby.
The bulk of my original message was talking about your C.strigosus but I thought the last page in the thread was 4, and it was only after that I realized on page 5 you gave the grim news of his death :( I have kept four pacific Koles over the past X years, and one of mine also died from the same reason - a series of unfortunate events lead to a dramatic drop in temperature in, ironically, his QT. My other three are a live and vibrant; one enjoying his new home with a close friend of mine. They are really wonderful fish, and I hope you decide to get another one day.
Keep up the good work and I wish you years of success with your upgraded system! I'll be checking back often no doubt.
-Alex
PS - was also fun to watch your photography skills improve ;)

thanx man but to me, it just looks soo barren! haha i want bigger/more full corals
I just went through all 5 pages of your journal, WOW! Nice TANK(S). The 55 was very nice. Hope the frags are working out. What ever happened to the Pistol Shrimp? Ever pair with the Goby? Hey, I know you see the tank every day and it may get "old", but take a look back through your post to the begining of the 55. It seems like you have been focussed on making the setup better on the 75, your "new" corals will come soon enough, as long as you keep getting paychecks it seems, haha. Soon you tank will have new life. As I said earlier along with everyone else, Very Very nice tank.
