Soldier doubts eligibility, defies president's orders

From the letter, the officer is not commiting treason, derilection of duty or refusing to follow a lawful command. He is petitioning the court for proof that his Commander-In-Chief is a Constitutionally elected commander. The worst he could get is a reprimand, unless he deserts his post or refuses to follow orders. Both of which, he has not done. I think this will go nowhere. Even if the President was born in Kenya, the registrar for vital statistics has officially acknowledged his American birth. The controversy is moot. I think that if Republicans jump into this, it will be more bad news for them come 2010. Most Americans don't care if he is or isn't native born. I know the Constitution is clear and he might have been born elsewhere, but this is a lose-lose for any Republican who presses the issue. GenX and GenY doesn't care and they voted for him.

I agree it shouldnt be a Republican attack,this should be a follow the US Constitution defence from all Americans.I fear for the county because of the attitude of Gen-X and Y

For clarification Being Naturalized and being Natural born are to separate definitions:
No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President;
For instance The Govenator Shwarzenegger although he is a citizen of the USA can not run for President of the United States

One more time - Obama was born in HAWAII. They have documented proof of that.
So exactly why aren't you reporting these illegal immigrants to the authorties, especially if you know they're using stolen SS cards?

I report them to my Union steward and Homeland Security does the rest.I don't want Illegal Immigrants stealing my work.I see them being kicked off jobs constantly,now we need to step it up a notch a deport them.

I can go to Naco, Sonora, Mexico (10 miles from my home) and buy official Arizona birth certificates and real ss cards. The gentleman who was peddling them outside the pharmacuetical store(?) told me there are people in the Tucson state records department who sell them to him and the birth certificates and ss cards are sold to him blank. He uses a typewriter to fill them out. If you have them checked, they will discover they were never "officially" recorded, but they pass the average ICE visual check. Most illegals don't bother, because they just make up ss #'s anyway.

Actually you can use alternative forms of birth records if you can not produce a birth certificate to get a passport.
Actually a combination of the following will suffice as long as they are recorded in the first five years of your life.
# Baptismal certificate
# Hospital birth certificate
# Census record
# Early school record
# Family bible record
# Doctor's record of post-natal care

Plus here is someto that is WRONG on his so called Birth Cert. in 1961 AFRICAN WAS NOT AN ACCEPTED RACE. HIS FATHER IN THE USA WOULD HAVE BEEN CALLED A NEGRO NOT AN AFRICAN ON ANY BIRTH CERTIFICATE. My famuily is big in Politics in the county were I was born I called them to find out and IN 1961 PER THE US CENSUS BUREAU AFIRCAN WAS NOT AN ACCEPTED RACE NEGRO WAS.

Answer these questions - Has it been proven that his mother had him in a Hawaii hospital, yes or no? Are there documented records in the hospital that show she was admitted to the maternity ward of whatever hospital Obama was born in, yes or no?
You seem to be stuck on this 'natural born citizen' issue. If he was born on US Soil, HE'S A NATURAL BORN CITIZEN. Even if he were born somewhere else, as stated in Title 8 of the U.S. Code cited, he's still eligible to run for President. Look at the line you keep pasting again:

LMAO The line i keep referring to is a direct quote out of the US Constitution, Article II Section 1 its not something i made up.
The Framers were not natural born citizens because, “at birth” they were all British citizens. That’s why they included a grandfather clause in Article 2, Section 1. The Framers wanted to make themselves eligible to be President, but they didn’t want future generations to be Governed by a Commander In Chief who had split loyalty to another Country. They recognized that they were NOT “Natural Born Citizens”,

You can keep trying to rearrange it to suit your argument all you want but it is what it is"The Law of the Land"

Bionic, they are not arguing what the document says, but the validity of such a document based on some strange things on the doc.

I suppose if this is a valid argument, then you guys who think his birth certificate is not valid or a fake are in the same boat as those who think the moon landing was faked, or that bigfoot roams the woods in your back yard. Give me a break. Get over it, he won, he's the president...swallow the bitter pill and deal with it.

Assume for a minute Mr Obama was born in Kenya. Would you just say "He won the election, get over it.", or would you defend the Constitution?

But he WASN'T! If he was, I'm sure he wouldn't have even made it into the primaries. Do you really think Clinton would have let some "foreignor" to take her "rightful" place?? To keep stringing it along with whack job conspiracy theories does no good....
