My brand new hawkfish jumped to a dry and dusty death.

So, I went and bought some eggcrate:

Don't think anyone will be jumping out so easy now... but I hate that I can't look down into the water so easy.

Finished off my VHO pendant this afternoon. Need to neaten up the wiring a little, but I think it looks pretty good. Definitely cuts down on the GLARE in the room.

glare? what glare? ...what about the GIANT WHITE GLARE ON THE WALL! lol, looks great wax, nice job with the DIY--you think that eggcrate intensified it any?

Thanks Bronco.
Well, the WHOLE ROOM used to be blasted with 380w of VHO. PLUS, I have 3 twisty CF bulbs over my frogs, so the room was pretty bright. I could hardly see my computer and I was getting a tan! So now it's a whole lot better.

I think the eggcrate has softened the light a little, the shadows in the tank aren't as harsh. But I think the light reaching the corals should be more or less the same.

Here is the OTHER side of my room, opposite the reef tank. The little gray chair is where I am sitting while I type this.

The upper tanks are dart frogs, the lower ones, snakes.

I don't have a flame angel... or any angel for that matter.

Ahh, I see someone else posted a picture with a flame in it, his name is Baclieu52 or something similar.
