Speaking of cheese........let me get a little cheesy:rolleyes: . "One" thing I love about the South......sitting out on the back porch, watching a distant thunderstorm spewing out it's lightening, so far away you only vaguely hear the thunder, mainly drowned out by the locusts and the crickets, with the strong smell of honeysuckle on the air......"daaauuummnnn.....I sound like Forrest Gump".

Yummy, cheese grits. Forgot about that.
And, don't get me started on porches and storms!! Oh and the smell of rain. Oh, and the sound of the bugs! LOVE that too.

The difference between the north and the south is pulled pork BBQ sandwiches and cole slaw. The north like to keep it separated and the south put the slaw in the sandwich I do

boiled peanuts
My wife is California born and bred. We moved to GA several years ago, and, the first time she tried boiled peanuts, she went ga-ga over them. Now, every time we pass a stand that advertises the things, she pulls over and buys some.
However, she made me promise NEVER to tell any of her family that she has fallen in love with one of the South's greatest treasures (besides me, of course :D )!
I'm still trying to get her to eat fried okra, though.....
