Hey-O!! Well peeps looks like I am back! The family matters I had to attend to seem to be over (for now at least). Job starts Friday so I should be back into my normal groove again soon.

I have a question for anyone who can help me, I have a little bit of cyano in my tank. It only seems to be on one particular rock with no corals growing on it at the moment. So what would be the best way of removing the algae? Fresh water dip (does this even work for algae?) Dose the tank? Try scraping it off?
Thanks in advance!

Rob I have the same problem in my 29G......It is kinda in a crater where I think flow is missing it.....I just use the turkey baster every couple of days on it....It has never shown up anywhere else...

The rock can be easily removed, should I try scraping it off? I have a feeling a turkey baster isn't going to work.

Why wouldn't a turkey baster work???? If it is cyano, and it is reachable, it should come right up

It's cyano for sure. Ok I am off to try it, and then I have to go to my LFSs and later do a water change. Wish me luck! Thanks meowzer :)

Ok I just tried to get it off, I even tried using my powerhead but to no avail. Mind you it has been there a while. I'm going to try and scrape it off next I guess.

Cyano would blow right off.....It could be coraline or a different type of a GOOD algae....can you get a pic of it
REMEMBER...cyano is light.....
