Hey Spiderwoman, I got a question for ya. The blue and black fish...it looks like it could be and angel or it could be a very large damsel. Whats its name? Thanks!!

That beauty is one of the large reef safe Angels... Female Bellus Angel. Isn't she gorgeous?

nice to see you here :)
He wedged himself inside Marshall Island. Nice just-wide-enough *fingers* in there :)
nice to be here!
I follow your thread, just don't always speak up.
And I love the Bellus btw - yes, quite an amazing fish!

FTS as requested. Pardon the dirty tank, I didn't have time to clean the glass :)

Random shots, lights just turned on just a little bit ago.

:) Thank you!! We've worked hard, but I still would not call it a success by any means. Still a lot to learn and many things to work on :)

Should they be mounted from left to right not front to back??

MH's are left, center, right, raised fairly high. Tank has 2 black plastic braises so that gives shadows when light high enough. 18inch wide doesn't really allow mounting them front to back

You have a lot of upper tank space open. Do the fish use that space much or do they stay around the rock work?

They tend to stay between the top and top half of the tank. My Bellus angel pair, the Tangs and Anthias mainly cruise in that space.
We have a huge piece of Marshall Island rock in a tub waiting for hubby to put it in place. I can barely lift it myself. It will go to the center of the tank.
I really dislike a 29inch tall tank, no matter how much rock you have in there, it still looks empty. We currently have about 200lbs in there + 160 lbs of LS.
