those look like Christmas lights. hmmm, there should be something cheaper you can concoct. A 20 foot strand of Christmas lights is like $2.50 at home depot. I wonder if you could somehow retrofit like 3 or 4 lights out of the strand over your tank...Perhaps you can do it behind the tank by cutting holes in your background for some of the lights to shine through. Tape them to the back.

let me know if you see anything cheaper
i wanted to tape them to my hanging lights with electric tape
eek.. heat may cause the glue on the tape to melt away... resulting in the lights swinging into the tank.

well, if you simply shorten the light strand somehow (not recommending you try without looking into it, but i wouldn't imagine it is that difficult) perhaps some wire cutters and just cut the UNPLUGGED cord after the first 4 lights, then bind the **live** ends of the wires with electrical tape so they don't touch one another. try googling it to see if this is a safe idea, as i have never attempted it.

Dude get the other clown in there asap if you're gonna do that. If one gets established you might have an issue with a new comer... You'd have to introduce a larger one 2nd if the original is established so it doesn't get picked on really bad.

I wouldn't wait much longer to get the other clown. This way they can work out which one will be the dominant clown a.k.a. the female. As for the chaeto, it will only help

ok thanks for the advice.
i think my tank has too much flow for the clown ?? he usually stays around the back or sides of the Powerheads??
i have a odyssea 100 PH in the back right shooting left back
i have a maxijet 1000 PH in front right pointing diagonally across the tank
i have a odyssea 100 PH below the mj 1000 pointing up towards the back
is that too much flow? i know mast SPS need high flow but is this too much?
