Lucky, lol, Were they always like that or did it take time?
I wonder were my clowns would go if i took the fiter out for i night...

Lol, the filter intake? Thats funny, and when I used to have clowns the just kinda swam up and down all over the place, but mostly somewhere around the surface, or not far from it. I really want to do a BTA so I will probably go with that in the end :) Nice Gemmy, cute clown, I hope that when I get some they will host in something!

I introduced my nem after I got the clowns and they went right to it. The clowns are tank raised.

BOXING DAY! I love boxing day, so many sales! And my LFS does boxing day pricing for a whole week! So today I went out and got;
2 False Percula Clowns
1 Green Carpet Anemone
1 Little colony of some type of Palys
Also a nice big rock to put my nem on!
Sad point of the day; The clowns have white spot! DARN IT ALL! I know it's my fault for not checking them out closly, but I am getting the medication to treat it tomorow. Got rid of the damsel, and yeah, that's it! Pics coming. . .

Yes, I dont have other fish, and even considering that I know it was a stupid move. I dont have a QT, but I do have empty tanks to use for treatment if I have to treat separate from the DT (which im assuming I do have to do). Yes the medicine is coming tomorow, the white spot is very minimal, but there non-the less. There is only a couple spots on the tail, and pectoral fins.

The thing is that you now have the ich in your dt......if you have empty tanks handy, and are just beginning to stock your tank with fish....I suggest you set up a qt......
what medicine are you going to use? you have to be careful with anemones and corals

Im not getting any more fish for probably a long time, and I get what you're saying now that the ich is in my tank every time I remove my clowns and treat them they will get ich every time I put them into the contaminated water (DT) So a question for you; Will my tank already be plagued by the ich disease even though there are only 5 tiny dots on each fish? Will by tomorow they have already spread into the water? I read somewhere that it takes around 30 days for a little capsule of 'ich" to explode and enter the water in search of a new host. What would you suggest that I do with this situation? Sorry for being a newb!! :( Your help is really appreciated!

I would QT the clowns for about 5-6 weeks and let the DT fallow. During this time, the ich in the display will live out its life cycle and die due to the lack of a host.

Okay, well what I'm going to do is treat the clowns tomorow in a separate tank for the specified time or whatever is on the instructions of the medication, return them to the DT and see if it works. If the ich does return I will set up a QT and do as you have said. I'm sorry if I seem stupid for doing this but a QT really isnt available ATM, I don't have extra supplies to set one up other than the tank and the heater... :( Sorry, I know im a frustrating person!

I do not understand how in one post you have another tank available for treatment....yet in another post you say a qt is not available

What SEPERATE tank do you plan on putting your clowns in for treatment????? WHy not just treat them with hypo...keepthem out of the dt for 6 weeks.....leave the dt fallow as Gemmy said
If you treat the clowns and toss them right back in....you have done nothing but waste time, and stress the poor clowns out

Okay, sorry for not being clear, I dont have a tank set up however I have a tank that can be set up for a quick treatment ( filled with water ) I don't know how to do hypo, and what supplies will i need for the QT? Will the following suffice because its all I have to sacrifice for the QT without taking away from the DT; 10 Gallon tank, Heater, HOB Mechanical Filter, crappy PC lights. Should I add some fake corals I have laying around or leave it empty for easy cleaning? Also I can fill it with DT water and top up the DT, or make a fresh batch of water for the QT and change out half of the water weekly to prevent a cycle. Im sorry for being unclear and dumb!! I appreciate your advice and help!

You can use dt water, BUT also make up more ...obviously to replace the dt water....and to do w/c's in the qt....you can put in a couple of pieces of pvc pipe for the fish to hide in
that's it.......

should I put a heater, and HOB filter in too? also if I cant get any PVC piping in will they be fine with nothing? Or is it pretty important so that they dont get to stressed out?
