Hello, I had a 125 gallon reef tank set up but i took it down because i want to start a smaller 90 gallon aquarium. I had a lawnmower blenny in the aquarium that I kept and put in a 35 gallon with everything needed. Before my fish was nice and fat but now i have noticed he is skinny and has almost no stomach, I think it is becuase the 35 gallon has no algae in it, I fear he will die what can i do? Thanks!

Have you tried Nori? I would try Nori. If it doesn't take to the Nori, look for some supplements that entice the fish to eat. I know that seachem has one. I think it's called Entice (strangely enough).

1 suggestion is to find it a new home
yes or nori....My LMB's have always eaten everything in the tank.....frozen foods too.....get some mega marine algae and try that
OR...do you know anyone who has SW tanks.....get a rock with algae on it for now...

Have you ever tried to feed him?

If you can get some krill to settle on the bottom of the tank he should eat that. You could try using tap water for topoff in hope that more diatoms grow.

Thank you guys I will try Nori and I will top off with tap water, I have tried to feed flake food pellets and blood worms, unfortunately I do not know anyone who has a SW Tank.

Bloodworms are actually a FW fish food......flakes and pellets are also garbage food
look for the mega marine algae.....and some that others have mentioned
he won't eat your food because it is not appealing to him

You should also look up making your own food if you feed a lot. I used to make my own food, but now that I have a 4 gallon tank, it really isn't worth it. There are all sorts of tutorials on this on the forum. Give it a search if you're curious.
