Stray Dog

OK...A stray dog has wandered onto our property...I use the word wandered lightly cause where I live it was probably dropped off.....It is a smaller dog, not sure of age MUTT of course....I have given it food and water, BUT
It has dried crud on its eyes......I really don't know if I want to touch it or not....and since I have a fenced in yard to keep my dogs in...(yes, I let this one in) could it be something that my other dogs can catch???
I have very little time to mess with it this morning....I have to go help my daughter move (again)
Any suggestions
I won't tell you what my husbands suggestion is

BUT I also DO NOT need another dog

You definitly don't want a stray with your dogs. If you plan on keeping it, keep them separated until a vet checks it out.

I do NOT want to keep it...LOL...I am thinking it may be someones....it seems sooo friendly, and besides the eyes too clean. I have an Easter Egg Hunt at the church I work for with my grand kids tomorrow from 2-4, so I am thinking either before or after I will see if I can check with a few homes around here.....REMEMBER...LOL...they are far and few between where I live

its huge around here with any kind of dog. Our neighbors mutt got out, someone a few miles away took him in...then ran him to the human society. Scanned him and they were called to come get him.

Well his name is now Buddy, LOL...He took over the cats box outside (YIKES) and I just gave him a nice chew bone
I HAVE TO FIND HIS HOME
Let me explain about the outside cat....I have 2 indoor cats, and a stray cat (9 years now) that is slightly retarded and lives outside....she is spayed, and had all shots, but when you bring her in she jumps to the ceiling and is crazy.....

my mom had a cat like that. Crazy was a nice word for this cat. She was a siamese and her tail was kinked. Your stray cat (9years) is probably telling Buddy the ropes of how he too can be a stray and transistion into a permanent animal at your house.

LOL...I would love to rescue every sad stray I can...BUT....I already have 2 cats 2 dogs (and the one outside cat) and I really have to leave it at that. I know I can care for what I have......Not sure if I could another one know what I mean
(I mean vet needs)

You have land, just keep him. If he's clean, take him to the vet. You're already most of the way there, after all you've named him...

my wife found a dog just sitting in the street a month ago.she took it to the vet and she had a chip.so we tracked down the owner.we took in 2 strays that wandered into our oild neighborhood.we had 5 dogs and now just saturday my wife got me a cane corso mastiff for easter.i hope when he gets to 170 lbs and eats a couple of the dogs we have already .(just kidding)
sorta.the dogs will eventually get along they are not like fsh.since you already take care of a couple whats one more?

His eyes don't look too bad in the pics.....I have been cleaning them with warm water....I may take him to the vet next week, and then sneak him in my mother in laws backyard
