Love the story about the mom and pups. 11 is a HUGE litter. Poor momma has her work cut out for her. My wife has a theory that these dogs know you are helping them, so they are grateful and extra kind.
We thought we could try the fostering thing again. Got some on Wednesday and they were not the 8 week old pups we were told. They were the size of Margie and had a rough life and I must have looked like the SOB that gave them a rough life because they HATED me. I have never been bitten by a dog before and I never want to be again. We traded them in on a horse that looks like a dog and her 7 pups. It is all well and good except for the hour I spent cleaning up after them today. Oh well the good with the bad.
Meow, now that you have done the deed, are you going to foster another one?

I could never do what you do…On behalf of the critters you help..Thank You!
I think there is a special place in Gods heart for folks who love the animals enough to even give up their own comfort, time, be understanding when they bite and still take on another abandoned mom right after and clean up puppy mess from puppies you won’t make a cent on or keep.
WOW…

You have to realize that what you are doing is helping these little critters to the next, and better, chapter in their life. We often joke that the best thing that could have happened to these dogs is to get knocked up. Because then the idiot, awful POS owner who obviously does not care for them will get rid of them and we are a way point between that and their new life with wonderful owners that will truly care for them.
Flower, thanks for the words, now for the A-hole in me to come out. The past two days I have spent a minimum of 3 hours cleaning up poop. Not watching TV and picking up a pile, but 3 hours total of picking up yucky stuff (Also working on about 3 hours sleep because they were whining all night). That is not what we want to do, we don't want to get in 8 week old pups, we want to get the pregnant moms in, let them have their babies here and raise the babies so they like people. It is kind of a long story but who we are working with right now have not been giving us that. HOWEVER they now say that we can switch out this crowd for a pregnant mom. So hopefully they are telling us the truth this time. Anyway hopefully we get her and I can post pictures of some new born babies.

WELL I took Buddy today to the spay/neuter clinic....he got neutered and all his shots...because they are gonna adopt him out, the new owner will pay the adoption fees.....I feel good about the work this group does with strays, so I gave them a $50 donation....I hope it helps them with other animals....one woman there had 42 foster pets OMG....42!!!!!!
He was sooooo good.....He was very nervous when we put him in the truck...I petted him the whole way....I have to wonder if he was dropped off via a vehicle.....at one point I looked back at him and he had a tear coming down his face...I SWEAR.....my husband even saw it......
The man interested in him may come to see him tomorrow....(keep fingers crossed) If he wants him, Buddy will be his companion and a full house dog (DOUBLE cross fingers) If he does not take him....I think Buddy will be mine

LOL....The people at the place today asked me 15 times....ARE YOU SURE you want to get rid of him...LOL....I think you could see it in my face how fond I have become of him......BUT.....I also think he deserves more than I have to offer....
SCOTTS.....HOW do you do this???????????

You already answered our own question. You rescued Buddy from some A-Hole that dropped him off at your place and prepped him for the rest of his life with his new loving owner.
Plus the first one is the hardest, it gets easier the more you do..hint hint.

WELLLLLL....Buddy just left with his new owner.......I feel so sad....and yet so glad...
I just wonder what Buddy was thinking.....as I handed him over...was he thinking MOM Don't you want me anymore :(
This man had a corgi for 17 years, and has been looking for another for over 9 months......I think once Buddy realizes he is loved....he will be okay
BYE BUDDY......I'll miss you.................................................

Buddy got a good break, he found you guys, becasue he was obviously dumped. You live in between here and there.....so he was very lucky to find you.
You fixed him up and got him ready for the person that really needs his love and attention!!!

You saved Buddy's life. You made him and an unknown person happy. That would make me sleep well at night.
