ok, tx, the woman who got $$$ for coffee being spilled all over her totally deserved it. She was an elderly woman, and ordered her coffee to be warm, and said specifically that it cannot be hot because she has really sensative skin. The kid dropped the boiling hot coffee on her lap, causing 3rd degree burns. Since she had no medical insurance, she asked Mcdonalds to pick up the medical bill she incurred, and not a cent more. McDonald's refuse, so she took them to court. She deserved it!
i will agree with you on your other comments, though. and i'm sure your last ones will get this thread closed. looks like your wishes are going to come true...

There was another coffee incident after that one. The settlement was like $200,000.

oh...
lol! i was at mickey d's once, and the chick brought us our fries, so i started munching on them at the counter while we were waiting on our burgers, and it was so friggin hot. I threw it down and yelled i can't believe how hot this is! I'm so sueing!!! the girl just looked at me horrified, and all i could do was bust out laughing. it was hilarious!

i am actually 27, if i was 15 or 16 i dont think that id be getting 800bucks from *****... and i belive i am done with this thread.. great support for the newbie ill tell ya.. national corp. opposed to the new beginer, and the beginer is supposed to know more than the HOW OLD national chain thanks for your opinions they will be filed accordingly..
and tx it means mental challenged.

checks can be easily made on photoshop...
and get off your high horse! you screwed up. i can understand the first time, maybe, but doing it a second time is definately your fault. Just take responsibility and stop calling people mentally challenged (which is not what damaged goods means...) because they think you screwed up. You're not too much of a beginner if your tank is fully cycled. That alone gives you at least a month before you could've purchased fish. since you've been a member of this forum for almost a year now, i guaranty that you know you should've done research before your purchase. Your fault, and you being so ignorant and high and mighty about it just says something about who you are... end of story.
and you being 16 explains your claim that you got $800 from *****...

Sorry, but I have to correct you on this one.
If you look in the Photography Forum under the putting faces to the name thread, he posted a pic of himself and his profile says he is 26, which seems to be true.
Also, his join date is August 2006.

and my profile could say i'm 80 and i could easily look up a pic of an 80 year old...
and look, ***** paid me over $4000!!!

hey dragon.. i have not been a member for a year.. i have had my tank for about a month and had it cycled in 2 weeks useing established water and sand and rock.. i took great care to beat the cycling process and run an already established refugium.. as far as the check goes.. {edit language} less but hey call my local store and in fact ask them if they settled with me and for how much... and this discusion is done... {edit name alling} i hope they kick me off. the purpose of this you {edit name calling} was to make some awarness to share my hardship with others and make you all aware what we already no is going on.. but since you have no life.. think your better than everyone and cant face the fact that a nationally recognized and trusted fish pet store is mistreating there animals and customers, and would rather bash some one that has been in saltwater for maybe 2 months for trying there best.. {EDIT LANGUAGE}

and i know that ***** treats people poorly, and i told you from the beginning that i was not trying to bash you. I'm just simply trying to point out your mistake so it doesn't happen to you again. ***** is not the only store that has incompetent people working there. Every other LFS will have someone like that, so all i (and everyone else for that matter) were trying to tell you is to research first, because this WILL happen again. That's it... we're not bashing a newbie, so stop trying to take it that way. Get over it and move on and just don't let it happen again. That's all we were trying to say... Gosh!!!

i called the store. they said there was a settlement but weren't at liberty to disclose dollar amounts without express written authorization from said plaintiff. puff, can you print out the following, sign it, and then post the signed attachment:
