Sweatervest's 125g reef build!!

sounds to me like ur cycle was good! How much LR was in their? This is a 125gal right?
usually use LR and LS...and something that produces waste to do my cycle! Like a hermit (lg) or something!
Cant wait till u get it all in that tank and get some PICS!
Yup, everything was good with the water. I used a decent amount of live rock (30- 40lbs) so I think it could have been ready before this but I wanted to go slow.
I was able to bring the SG in the QT back up the the right level for the DT. I got the two fish I have in to the big tank on Saturday night. They have both stayed in the back left corner kinda hiding a bit. They eventually started to explore, I am sure they are much happier then in a 10g QT. LOL
I still need to raise the SG of the DT up to 1.025 for the corals over the next week or so. I have my 29g with all the coral waiting to get in there. I did remove my BTA, this was one that I got just less then a year ago. It started to split a few months after I got it, and was getting to be a problem. I spoke with the LFS that I got it from and they sounded like they were aware that their BTA's did this. They said to just bring them back and they would buy some back. So yesterday I brought a rock that they took over and sold 12 of the little suckers back along with the rock and a Kenya tree. Got some decent store credit- so I put a Lobo on hold and ordered 7 reef chromis that should come in later this week.
I think tonight I will flip the lights I have and put the MH on the big tank and the little T5 on the coral tank ( I was keeping the MH on the coral tank for the BTA's). I want to build a little frag rack for the coral tank so I can get them higher in the water closer to the lights. I have the PVC (3/4') I just need the connections. I am starting to get real excited for this tank to start growing out.
