and do seahorses "yawn" a lot??? lol
caue thats what the horses looked like they were doin lol
but this is the more important thing that i didnt tell u yesturday, i bought the seahorse
now i know what ur gonna say but just listen t what he said, I didnt realize it had been there for so long, he siad its been there for about a month and no one is buyin it, he told me he was gonna sell it fo $20!!!!!! he siad he was getting in new shipments also and he wouldnt have a tnk where it could be by itself "species tank" SO i said why not i guess ill give it a try, i mean when is the next time u are gonna find a seahorse for 20 anymore lol!
e was eatin at the store and its been over the 24 hours and i feed him but if it hits the ground he will jsust forget about it, but at the store, he ate it???? i dont know if its cause he inst hundgry, because i just released it or what??? and srry i didnt email u yet il do it tomight

ok i saw him at the store eating live brine so i bought some frozen mysis and some frozen brine, but i tried feding him the mysis and he refuses it , i think because it sinks to easily and he knows its fake. He eats the brine very well but everyonce in a while he'll spit one back out, is this normal? are they just sloppy eaters like that??? and im gonna try taking the mysis and cutting each one in half to make them smaller. so thats the only problem so far! lol i love my seahorse
PS i added my dancing shrimp from my reef to be a clean up crew because there was still some food on the ground which he didnt eat and forgot about it becvause he knew it was fake.

Does your lfs carry live ghost shrimp? Brine shrimp have no nutritional value , and your horse will start to starve eating brine. You can try to feed the mysis with your powerhead on , to make it look "alive". I heard that sometimes that'll work in converting them. And by dancing shrimp , do you mean the sexy shrimp ? pepp shrimp? coral banded ?

like this, ya they call them dancing camel shrimp at my lfs and ya they sell the live ghost shrimp but my seahorse is too small to eat them thanx for all ur help !!

ahhhh ok, camel shrimp are ok with horses....maybe try buying live brine shrimp and soaking them for a few hours in selcon [sold in alot of lfs , or online]...then feed the live brine to your horse....it's more nutritious than frozen

I thought this was a horse from ORA. If so, it should be eatting frozen mysis.
I would be sure to gut load those brine and try to get it to eat mysis asap.
Try mysis at the first feeding when they first wake up and are hungry.
What equipment do you have in the tank they are in? When you feed mysis are they blowiing around any? Keep a close eye on your water with all that brine, be sure to rince it before adding it or frozen to your tank

ya i tried what clev seahorse said by adding more flow around feding time and now the mysis is floatin around more and the seahorse is eatin it
and how i told you a while back that the seahorse at my friends house and the one at the store were breathin kinda heavy and "rocking or bobbing" whatever u wanna call it, and i told her to add the airstone, and i added an airstone to my tank and it stoped breathin like that thanx

and like what i asked u a while ago, when i said that the seahorse i was gonna buy at the store and my friends were breathing heavy and "bobbing or rocking" or whatever u wanna call it. so i added the airstone and told my friend to ( dont know if she did or not) but in my tank he isnt breathing like that anymore and seems to be doin alright! another question lol, before they eat like in the morning, is it normal fo rthem to look a little thin???

ya it is eating the mysis now, i did what clev seahorse said by adding more flow and now she started eating the mysis shrimps! and when i said a while ago that the seahorse at my friedns and the one at the pet shop ( the one i bought) were kinda breathin heavy, i added the airstone and told my friend to, idk if she did or not, but in my tank she stopped breathin li;ke that! so thax for all ur help!
