she looks pretty good. One trick for feeding is thaw it in a little tank water them rince it off. That gets rid of excess yuck before feeding.
I buy those little cups you use in the bathroom.
T

ya i do that to but i just put a small piece of frozen so it doesnt move around a lot so she sits still and concentrates on it lol so i was able to take a pic

do they have captive bred pipes??? and do u think u could email me some places that sell seahorses for cheap
if ur allowed

does anyone know any way i can make these?? some other website was selling them and said that they were plastic grass hitching posts attached to a plastic grid.

Thats kinda cool looking. They almost look like green zip ties. you can get plastic canvas at the craft store. hummm
did you get my e-mail??
T

ya i did
thanks
idk iff they are zip ties or not, it said they were 14 inches!
hey, i was doin a little research and i found this "Even ORA is importing TR seahorses (their reidi are net-pen raised)!"
is this bad cause my lfs where i bought my seahorse said that it was from ORA and i heard tank raised are bad??

is tank raised really that bad???
and if anyone else has anymore ideas about how i can recreate those plastic grass things, let me know

I bought those from the same seller on the " bay". You can cut them to any shape you want..and they really look like sea grass, don't look plastic..My pics with them in my tank are under my kelloggi thread....but you will have to disturb your sand bed to get them to stay in place....It wasn't a big deal in mine since it just cycled and no horses in there , but in yours disturbing the sand bed might cause an ammonia spike...just an fyi
oh , and on having a reidi and h .erectus in the same tank, mixing species is generally not a good idea....even people who've had years of experience are iffy or unwilling to try it....different oceans , different diseases....perfect opprotunity to get a new tank cycling for another species

Yes , tank raised is really that bad, unless you have all the meds you need....They almost always have internal worms , and external for that matter....You'll have to fresh water dip them , formalin , prazipro and the list goes on....My kelloggis [ also tank raised ] are doing well ONLY because I have every seahorse med known to mankind on hand , and am a stay at home mom so I can monitor them constantly....horses are like babies...lol

so are those plastic plant things just pieces of plastic or do they look like it would be difficult for me to recreate them, should i just buy em?
one more question for clev seahorse
do u hink u could send me a private message with ur email??
cause it said u dont accept private messages and i wanted to ask u somethin ur not allowed to talk about on this site

and if thats the case with my seahorse ill prob just end up goin along with it for now and if she lives ( hopefully) ill prob just end up
given her away
to save up to buy some captive breds
I guess when i heard that they were ORA i assumed that they were captive bred. thats wat i get for rushin things

In the top right corner of the screen , it'll say " welcome ,picoseahorse2 ~ then the last log in time , then private messages, highlighted.." click on private messages, mine should be there
