Tank Pics

It's been a long time since I posted, or given an update on my tank, so I figured today is the day. I really haven't taken any new pics for quite some time, because to me, there was nothing "new" to take pics of! :) Nothing much has changed with the tank (had to replace one pump) but as you might tell from the pics, the number of rug rats (my sons) putting hand prints on the window has changed!
All 3 sharks are still doing great! The bamboo is still growing the fastest, with the black tip a close second. The horn is beginning to look like a runt. :) Zero problems with the tank itself...no leakage/warpage/signs of stress.
Tony, Cincy, AC, Mattie...you guys still around?

Fair question... Do a search of Novice150 posts, and you'll see that the tank is designed specifically for this species, and he's secured a home for it when it does eventually outgrow his sytem. The guy is one of our resident shark experts... He's done his homework and then some...

ahh good! thats all i wanted to know, just that the shark would be in good hands. Sorry, dont remember seeing a post about him setting up the tank.
i must say though, that is one of the coolest tanks i have ever seen. I love in-wall tanks. and big ones are even better.

beautiful tank, and cute kids too. I don't know much about shark tanks. If you don't mind me asking how much do those big boys eat?

.
Compare the "join dates" on the board...unless you changed your name...but "Novice" is no novice by any means.
That is a great tank. Really awesome. A great example to follow, IMO.

I am still around but have been busy as all get out. The work has been finished and the new 35000 gallon shark lagoon is already home to some sharks (those from the original 18000 pool, oh yaeh anybody want an 18000 gallon modified swimming pool!). I have just recently gotten back from a collection trip south and was able to score five sharpnoses and three bonnets. I am also looking at adding a second black tip reef as a companion to the one I already have. I am also a few weeks away from opening a site on the web dedicated to shark and ray keeping. I have some articles written by Scott Michaels and Sam Gruber, to name a few, that will be posted. I'll keep all updated as to when it'll open officially. Novice drop me an email and I want to discuss your working on the site and I can give you special access to it. My email is hallmj@att.net.

Hey Novice, Haven't talked to you in a long time, looks like all is going well.
How long do you think you'll be able to keep the blacktip?
I'm looking at houses again this weekend, something big is in the works for the basement when I get a house lined up. Big winter project.
