The government pays the docs 12% less for services, that doesn't mean they are able to provide the services for less. Again if the medicare system is so great why is it operating at such a loss? It isn't the advantage plans, medicare had it's solvency issues long before those plans were available.

I took GeriDoc's information as it cost 12% more to pay middleman/go betweens, that don't provide any direct service other than additional cost. Part of the conservative nanny state, protect the insurance industry. I don't believe the Doctors are missing out on that money, it's money they would have never gotten anyway.
