My poor clown is probably wondering what the hell is going on.
My tank was way too warm and my new MH light was not helping. The room it is in is just off the Master bedroom a couple of steps up (I will take a picture sometime). It is always the hottest room in the house, as it is the highest room in the house. Even with central air, the room is always around 80. Well add the MH light and you get a tank that is over 85 Degrees F. So I closed all of the vents in our basement, as well as many rooms on the main level (rooms that are always too cold anyway) forcing more air out of the vents in the bedroom and "office" where the tank is located. Came home from work today and the tank light was still off (need to get a timer...probably put it on from 10am to 10pm). The tank was 73 Degrees F. So I will open up a couple of vents on the main floor to increase the temperature in the office. I want to maintain around 78 Degrees so that I have margin of error on either side.
