Ahhh but in no way shape or form can mercury be removed from dolphin meat. You just named a bunch of food that if prepared properly (by removing toxic tissue from the meat) is no longer toxic.

You should know this Spanko you live in Michigan you've heard the warnings about how too much fish consumption can lead to problems and that pregnant women should not eat fish here or at least not too much of it.

Lol right exactly my point and if you go through the whole thing there are fish in there that say DO NOT EAT THIS FISH. Well the Japanese don't have these manuals nor does the average person know that Dolphins are poisonous. That's the point I'm trying to make. So why would you kill it?

I don't think there are even any DQs near me :( The closest one I know of is near Lakeside mall. But do you know what I am saying? It's stupid that an animal would be killed for meat that shouldn't be eaten.

Why would they be testing the meat if it's labeled as something else that does not contain mercury? Why would there be a media blackout of the subject as well? You can ask people across Japan did you know people eat dolphin and they would say "no... who eats dolphin" and that's without them even knowing it's toxic. And why do you think Pacific or any other type of dolphin is not consumed by any other country in the world?

Oceankid that is the biggest part of the problem there is plenty of things you can do, the easiest being to simply talk about it. Tell me why we can't do anything?

Why wouldn't they test the meat? Anything can have lead toxicity in it. Maybe the dolphins really do, I just suspect the government would check for themselves and warn people if it was really that bad.

And as a matter of fact they do knowingly eat Dolphin meat

We did about the same thing with a beef we raised when I was a kid. We named him Hamburger and that's what he ended up as.
